Welcome new hunter! Just a tips of advice, try to create Hunter Set. or armor with the skill have PhysVis. You need that +15 and it will detect the location of boss in map.
Just go to training school (far behind on left in town), it will teach u at least some valuable lesson for newbie.

I don't think you quite understand how damage works in Monster Hunter. I'm too lazy to explain the whole thing but I'll tell you this. A weapon that has 1000atk does not deal 1000 damage to a monster when you attack it. The anti-dragon cannon deals a decent amount of damage.

lol.you dont have delay charge? ok.then can you teach me how to gem the rathalos X armor? in order to cancel the long charge effect and to get +1 sharpness.

btw, another question, how to pick up item on floor? cz i used to throw away raw meat (accidentally pressed square LOL)

as tensou say calculation for each type of weapon and hitting diff part of monster the damage calculation is vary.

it's depend on whether u like to use GL or would you prefer other weapon type.
Be warn that this weapon is consider hardest to use(from my view) compare other weapon due to the mobility and timing needed to attack and run

hehe...you remind me of the very first time i played monster hunter 2 in ps2 back to few years...i even got killed by the minion who eat grass ( where you get the raw meat from)

this game is about 3Ps Patient+Practice+Plan (effective strategy and weapon)

instead of learning GS only... i'm learning GL also... never thought i'd killed big monsters with GS or GL before learning them
Last time always think they're very slow...

it took me 48 minutes to solo akantor with a silver rook.... but i still did it...
employ super defensive tactic... and keep blasting away with wyvern fire...

erm..u mean the silver rook is the GL with green sharpness?

i used diablos destroyer and it took me 38 minutes to killed it..

Solo or team hunt no difference to me ... solo also can kill, team also can kill.
Solo then you minus the hunting horn effect la ... team hunt then add hunting horn effect ?
do the calculations yourself ... very easy hunting horn +20%

very satisfying and feel like wanna fly when shoot one last wyvern fire then the screen got 'mission completed'

at first thought mission gonna fail dy... no sign of akantor being weak plus not using gun chariot... time also less than 5 minutes

after trap it,u need to throw a tranqulizer bomb

u can trap mobs? (to me mobs=packs of velociprey )

u can combine em.
trap tool(buy from lady or old lady(old lady sumtimes have half price )) combine with either genprey fang or net(spiderweb+vine)
trap tool + net= pitfall trap.
trap tool + genprey fang= shock trap(or isit stun trap? either way it stuns a prey )
