nt sure tongue.gif i'll check tmr tho. it comes stock with my solaris. heheh. maybe i should get a new bike instead. i have been spending too much money on it. dunno how much on the rear derailleurs. dunno why everytime have to ganti new. any tips how to maintain it?
*
stock solaris fork? zoom ah? there shouldnt be any oil except for lubricant.

i spent alot on my solaris too b4 buying a 2nd hand tbolt, much more value for money laugh.gif

how many times did u have to replace the rear derailleur? still on stock shifter? on my solaris the tuning always became crap because the shifters wear out, not the derailleurs. grip shifters dont last long, and develop free play over time.

( dunno whats its called, rapid fire? thumb shifter? )

i duno la, a few times go for ride, i usually fck up my derailleur. so maybe forced to change, or maybe the repair guy dun wan do it properly. heheh. see la. im quite happy with the solaris now actually. just in form 4 going form 5. so we'll see.
*
how is the derailleur get messed up? only if direct hit only can spoil it. other than that the spring suffers from fatigue, but that only happens after years of usage. when it gets messed up, what is the symptom? dunwan shift or what? maybe ur lbs lazy to tune, only want to sell nia.

I've got a kinda' personal question.
When you guys ride/cycle, do you wear underwear (briefs/boxers) with your Lycra-cycling pants/shorts?

Oetzi frame on sale about RM4.5K
FLX or o.nine cannot find except odd sizes
Scale carbon about RM8+K
Voodoo D-jab Ti about RM3.4K
Voodoo Bizango steel about RM1.3K

Looks like Giant not selling separate frames this year in Taiwan.. else also considering the XTC FR

y would u have considered and xtc FR when the HB3 is (i believe) lighter and better?

btw merida odd sizes? shouldnt either 16" or 18" fit u? or are those sizes hard to find?

no orbea alma there?

i would go for Ti or steel just for the ride feel. and understated skinny tubing. any other steel options?

But when I asked Uncle Google.
Most if not all the answers state that we should just wear Lycra-cycling pants/shorts without wearing any underwear (briefs/boxers).

XTC FR supposedly lighter wor ( very very aggressive hydroforming) ... and I'm just curious about this all new emphasis on comfort. Merida size not ngam me so didn't really look. Btw, the new XTC's also using 16" and 18" though everything with the 16" is same as the old 17"... just the seat tube is shorter niah.

2009 Alma also got discount but hated the paintjob more than the Oetzi especially the rainbow WC stripes.

hmmm.. the fr does look more hydroformed than the roundish tubed xtc, does with less gussets, and should be double/triple butted. is the hb3 triple butted or anything?

btw double butted steel or titanium frames are more comfortable, but turns out straight gauge tubing (Ti or steel) isnt so comfortable. but a light steel/Ti frame should be butted la, else it would weigh 2kg+.

not sure what else to suggest. dunno what othe options u have. cannondale carbon hardtail? maybe with a lefty?

somewhat intrigued by 29ers actually. lol.
