DiGi informed me that it will be launched tomorrow

yup, just called DiGi and they told me it's launching tomorrow.. rates are the same as voice call

I was in Penang to, 3G detected since last Friday evening,
just made a video call just now but failed and received a message from DIGI stated that service is temporary not available. |

I from KL, already can detect but the problem is the 3G network in my area is not strong. It is 1-2 bar only.

non at mine either... sad.. well the rm48 per month with 3gb quota seem cheap.. but with limited coverage .. mean most of the time u will stuck bac to edge.. unless u r the lucky 1 in penang , and sabah.. i think wanna migrate there d la.. lol..

Tried downloading settings, but twice sent confirmation via sms and got no reply. Anyways, I'm in Maluri Cheras, and can't seem to detect any 3G signal here.

Shown on here it says "Internet Usage is chargable at 10sen/10kb up to maximum of RM5 daily between 12am to 11.59pm" Does that means after RM5 usage only we get to enjoy unlimited access?

Just call DiGi centre. If you in the coverage, but no 3G services, then just call in to DiGi to activate the 3G. For prepaid & postpaid also.
The charges will follow the normal voice rate. Soon may be there will be different charges. So better use now before it amend the rate (According to the DiGi customer service). |

Just restart my phone, and yes it show HSDPA... Just after 15 minute or less calling to DiGi to activate.

Using digi 3g Now speed test 1.6mbps
edited 5.35am  The speedtest took almost 45sec to finish The download speed was took abt 15sec and the speed was monitor with DU METER. From the begin the speed fly up to 2Mbps until end of the speedtest. 2Mbps constant , No up and Down. I think each user can get 2Mbps max per user ? I've subscribed to the RM48 plan edi... They gave me a free modem some more...

thanks for the reply!! and i just subscribe for unlimited RM66 yesterday. hmm but its seem the speed are very slow when i browse facebook. how fast is maxis speed 3g btw, and how fast are DiGi EDGE, 3G?

I asked Digi shop today about why my phone drop from 1.5Mbps to 384kbps on speedtest. They say the amount of users in area also important, because the connection is pooled -.-
Looks like if you want good speed, go look for place with few people using... |

i was wondering which part of klang valley area tht is confirm by u guys got 3g line one. i wan to go n test coz alto the coverage map show my area in bkt jalil is covered but i hav no 3g signal. i not sure now weather is it my problem or digi problem. im using nokia 5800.........

i think a lot of ppl keep calling them for the 3G activation, the CS lazy to answer the call... i tried to call helpline since this morning and no one pick up the phone.

Finally, the last person said this 3G service to mobile phones only temporary and still in trial and that's why only can be used Digi to Digi. But the weird thing is I can make video calls to Celcom. And then she said that's a good thing. WTF. Although she has the best answer but Digi CS still sucks in a way. even now in kl town and pj area... i'm getting strong 3g signal without them informing... they are gradually expanding their coverage...
by the time the slow on the coverage expanding... i think by then they will make a big hoo haa on the launch kuar... i dono... let's see...  |
