DiGi is poised to make its Turbo 3G on mobile phones available in Penang and Kota Kinabalu, Sabah on Thursday, October 22, 2009. Both cities will be the first in Malaysia to enjoy DiGi’s newest 3G voice and data services on mobile phones.

In Penang, the official launch of DiGi’s Turbo 3G will be graced by Lim Guan Eng, Chief Minister of Penang. DiGi’s Head of Products and Segment Marketing, Albern Murty, will be there to host media in a press conference to share details on DiGi’s Turbo 3G plans and latest offerings for Penangites.

Similarly in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, the launch will be officiated by Datuk Dr. Yee Moh Chai, Minister of Resource Development and Information Technology, Sabah. It’s followed by a press conference with Chan Nam Kiong, DiGi’s Head of Customer and Channels, Ng Chak Khin, DiGi’s Head of Region, Sabah and Loh Keh Jiat, DiGi’s Head of Product Marketing.
No word on its availability in other states yet.
this is the information i get from a local mobile magazine website, from the news, neither KL nor Klang Valley is not in their consider list, mean we have to wait again? for non Penang and Kota Kinabalu user?

Just call DiGi centre. If you in the coverage, but no 3G services, then just call in to DiGi to activate the 3G. For prepaid & postpaid also.

The charges will follow the normal voice rate. Soon may be there will be different charges. So better use now before it amend the rate (According to the DiGi customer service).

i will very happy if Digi postpaid do not go for 60 seconds per block...

for 3G Video Call,
i think is still ok,
not always make the calls..

from the conversation,
the girl told me damansara perdana don have 3G coverage,
but i always get 3.5G signal,
even Pelangi Damansara also better than 2.5G coverage,
a bit surprise...

yet i i only get 3.5G and Edge signal,
but not 3G signal,
is it digi don have 3G but only 3.5G signal?

sorry for stupid question,
jz wanna know.. biggrin.gif
