14'' and 15'' will still have the same performance if the resolution is the same, its just the 15.6' will have more syok.
and 14'' will have more heat as less space for heat to dissipate, generally speaking.

depends you can wait for the delivery time or not.

then better online, sometimes might get even better deal or freebies if buy by calling them.

overall performance, studio 15 wins.

compaq is good if you want to keep under 2k,
but 2k for now better choose k40ab/k50ab

toshiba got one which *might* have same performance with dell studio 15, but more expensive, rm 2899.
the only advantage I can see of that toshiba is its 14'' thus lighter.

if insist compaq, only compaq cq40 series with hd3450.

14'': k40ab, toshiba l510 with ati card
15'': dell studio 15, asus k50ab

well, if you want to game, the best for the price would be dell studio 15 for rm 2699 or k40ab/k50ab for rm 1999, else portabilty, inspiron 13'' for rm 2299 or upgrade it to ati hd4330 for some power.

but usually other country can be cheaper because can get discount or online coupon.

well, its fast for everyday usage, unless you are occasionally need to do cpu intensive program, better get faster cpu.

toshiba m900: t6600, ati hd4570, rm 3699

if 5k, asus n51vn, p8800 , nvidia g240m for around rm 4.4k

the best you can get in 13'' is 9600m GT DDR3 which is LG p310.
