Other than Dell Studio XPS16, are there any others you would recommend?

Hi guys, I am looking forward to buy my first new laptop. I have been reading a lot from the forum here and would like to know what brand should I get first. Some said Asus is mass produced hence it is not good... others say HP spoil easily... so I am confused which brand I should get. But I eyed HP pavillion dm3 because of its design Is DM3 worth it? Would it be extra expensive just because the laptop is new in the market?

This is what I want to use for my computer with a budget of RM2,500 - RM3000. 1 is the highest priority:

1. Nice design
2. Watch movie (Support HD? Planning to get an 23" LCD to work with the laptop)
3. Can stand for long hours
4. Light gaming (Such as Dota)

Also, do you recommend to me to get external speakers for laptop? Thank you very much in advance.

I want to buy a new laptop. So i wish that any people here can help me on this matter.  . The specs' that i require are:

i. mainly for internet and doing assignments
ii. nice design with white in colour (optional)
iii. high ram for multitasking
iv. high storage to store lotsss of assignments
v. budget, must be less than 2k
vi. warranty more than 1 year is highly considered
vii. good after sales service in case of any problem occur after using for some time
viii. reliable(not easily broken/malfunction)
