well, dont upgrade ur McAfee, many users said it's useless and rubbish AV. u can use MSE from microsoft and avast freeware. both are free and better than McAfee. i would suggest u use windows 7, than using XP. i suppose no problem for the driver.

which model are u trying to imply?? btw, asus provide 2 years international warranty for their notebook while lenovo provide 1year region warranty(iinm)

well, they have their pro and con...
in term of battery life, G450 is longer
in term of processor power, G450 is better
in term of graphic performance, K40AB is better
in term of warranty, asus 2 years international warranty is harder to resist than lenovo 1 year region warranty

well, u can consider BenQ S42 which cost around RM2.2k. If u insist of getting a laptop under RM2k, try to look for Asus K40AB or Lenovo G450. Both are RM1999

can. 3KG+ only ma. carrying upstair and downstair is ez. i even carry it to my friend's house. but now got backpack, it just make this so damn simple.

Laptop 2 : no idea but 17" dont expect it to be light and their battery life mostly just so so

weight?? spec wise of course inspiron 1520 is better. but if u want more portability, longer battery life and use Mac OS X then take macbook white or u can consider asus ul80vt if u want to use windows only
