QUOTE(cusx @ Dec 5 2009, 05:16 PM) well I have to agree with this statement, this is what I have in mind too. I will suggest u to go for Lenovo S10-2 or Asus EEEpc series......Nothing much different. Thanks. There are two points why i suggest this two: 1)These two netbook have 2 year warranty 2)They both have multi-touch touchpad which DELL don't have.... |

Hi there,
I would appreciate if someone could really help me decide which laptop to buy for myself. I've been doing some serious research and found the following which kind of complied to my needs. I specifically need a laptop which runs fast and smooth cos I've been living with a pc which is worse than a tortoise. - Dell Inspiron 14 (T6600, heard T series heats up and slower than P series, sigh) - Studio 14 (over my budget, obviously) - Studio 15 (a lot of forumers here recommend this? I dont really like the cover but the specs seemed good) - Acer Aspire 4937-752G32 1)Budget - RM 2.5 K and below (a lot lil bit more is fine, not excedding RM2.7K) 2)Usage of laptop - Photoshop, Illustrator, watching DVD, downloading music, image storage, Net surfing, Farmville LOL 3)Size/Weight - No netbooks pls.. 4)Brand - As mentioned above, other options are welcomed 5)Specs - Intel Core 2 Duo processor is a must Iv got no one else to turn to and I seriously need the most 'neutral' opinion. Thank you very very much in advance!! |

QUOTE(dOllICa @ Dec 5 2009, 05:40 PM) Hi there, Consider the Toshiba L510-4314 since they are offering 3 years warranty and their price is reduced to RM2600 as mentioned by reeve... The 4570 GDDR3 simply beats every other graphic card in the price range you've stated.I would appreciate if someone could really help me decide which laptop to buy for myself. I've been doing some serious research and found the following which kind of complied to my needs. Thank you very very much in advance!! Studio 15 cover not nice ? You have so many different designs to choose... which I feel that they are damn cool, refer to Dell They are offering free upgrade to 3GB ram too. Though the specs is not as nice as the Toshiba one considering the RAM is DDR2 which will definitely be replaced by the DDR3 and it's 4570 is GDDR2... There's a significant performance difference there. Wouldn't recommend you to go for Acer with your budget... just look at the sheer amount of complaints you can find with Acer laptop This post has been edited by JustForFun: Dec 5 2009, 06:39 PM |

Studio 15's HD4570 is GDDR3... verified by uers...
anyway, rm100-200 more and u can get BenQ s42 with 9600M GT... DDR3 dun offer any significant performance gain over DDR2... and DDR2 will still be the mainstream for abt 1 more yr.. |
