160km/hr....auto or manual? tell me bout the vibration and sound of engine....pls and stability! thx
*
Manual...suprisingly no vibration, maybe my heart vibration is more than that... sweat.gif since i drive at highway which is extremely flat and smooth, so the stability is quite good, no feeling float...but not recommended la, the engine and wind sound is loud, i don't think you can stand with that for long time, for whatever reason, is dangerous at that speed, i wonder if they got small bump at the road the car will 'fly'.... sweat.gif

actually i like the engine noise tongue.gif i can stand with campro engine "roaring", am i strange ppl?
however i really dislike the vibration of the door panels, always have "zzzzzz" "jijijijiji" sound coming out while running over even though the slightly uneven road, the sounds make me annoyed and irritate me
sh** proton uses such a cut cost materials vmad.gif

they didn't cut the cost for material
they cut the cost for soundproof
that's why it feels empty inside the door...so u have to install soundproof yourself
but with a car that doesn't have soundproof at ALL...saga is consider quite silent already
the only soundproof saga have is the floor
if they add soundproof....the price would be near 50000

You mentioned previously that the SC tune down your idle RPM rite? maybe this is the cause...actually the normal idle speed should be 900RPM (as you said, near to 1K), i wonder why they tune down the RPM... rclxub.gif especially your car is AT, if you stop without free gear, the vibration will be more obvious?

then if they tune down i wonder the vibration will be more obvious? Different SC different opinion, to play safe, i think you better ask for other SC...

the engine have 2 mode or sound....dn't know how to say it
i'm not an expert
1 is silent.....and after a while...there will be another more noisy one
the more noisy one will cause your steering to vibrate
and when it switch to silent one...less vibrate or none already

I think the 2 mode you said is caused by the aircon kickin and cutoff...

lowering ur rpm when ur car idle defi will solve the vibration sound,ur sc is rite...for ur info, for wira la ,behind there's a screw dat can lowering the rpm, then vibration is gone,some1 shared it at lyn,so i assume ur rpm is too high, but i 4got the side effect if is too low,but dun worry,sc done it for u,it will be alrite

dn't know
alot of times...i didn't open aircon also will like this
many previous car i driven be4 also will like this
and frm seeing my dad's experience
idle RPM is high the better...to prevent sudden shut down
last time my dad will auto shut down all becuz the idle RPM is too low...thn he ask the mechanic...the mechanic tune it higher

I'm not sure la...then wait for ur result lo...as long as the default idle RPM work then i won't tune it...

haha, I have datsun as well, but this two car is totally different, Datsun is caburator, thats why the idle speed will be higher after the engine is warmed up...for BLM, its EFI, the opposite will happen, cold start RPM will be higher and then drop back to low RPM after warmed up.

idle rpm high is good bt waste petrol..
but 2 low will cause auto shut down..
so idle RPM ngam ngam is the best..
but many mechanic cant tune it perfectly..

Added on November 8, 2009, 12:36 pmic... last time my mechanic ask me 2 change caburator to the EFI(i tink la..) coz my caburator spoiled.. caburator cost me RM40 oni.. but the EFI cost almost 200.. it is huge different..

lol, is that material insulfex really help to stop the vibration the touching in between of the plastic and metal door panels?

i doubt it jz reflects and absorbs the majority noises from outside only but not the touching in between of the plastic and metal door panel

actually the rattling is caused by the door panel itself, due to it's empty, and 1 more thing i like about the insulflex,it is much more compact than the sponge,it definitely can stop the rattling sound, and 1 more thing its non flammable and heat resistance as well,ur car wont be dat hot anymore, juz my 2 cent,=) the most important1,it's cheap, lol
