Just wanted to share a really helpful link I found when research for LED TV:
http://www.rtings.com/

They list down the crucial specs that what we need when shopping for a TV & does provide some rating as guideline.

i just brought a hisense 42" led tv three month ago but found the sound not strong enough. have to turn more than half the volume. the built in speaker rated only 8w x 2.
what the easiest and cheapest way to improve the volume.
can we connect the external speaker directly to the tv or buy a home theater set.

I was quoted a price of Rm3199 with discount of 30% for Sony Bravia 46ex653. Is it recommended to buy this model based on price and its features?

The price now around rm2293 something, if I'm not mistaken. A good buy?

They cost just as much as entry level FHD 40" LED.

Just get the 40" for FHD or else the significantly cheaper 32".

X series is NOT Full HD. It has XGA native resolution, or 1024x768.

For PC monitor/ gaming you'd better get the harder IPS panel , VA panels are soft and flexible and can easily be damage physically.

LED TV generates very little to no heat unlike the old CCFL LCD TV, power consumption of a 32" is around 30W when power saver is engaged.

Your GPU card genarates more heat than the TV.

I'm also waiting for S60 series, the retail price for S60 seems reasonable in US with 42-inch USD729, 50-inch USD829, 55-inch USD999 and 60-inch USD1299. Just not sure how it will price in Malaysia, hopefully it will be cheap drool.gif drool.gif
