Hi Guy I'm looking at 2 models now either the Panasonic P42X28K or the Samsung LA40C550 which one is better ? Both also around 2k+ . I'm using mostly for HD movies and games. Appreciate the input.
*
you're comparing HD panel with fullHD panel. big difference is price too.

for plasma tv, if i don't run the break-in disc, but i watch 16:9 video content (without any static image/logo), will the phosphor age evenly too?

i always zoom in all 2.35:1 movie so that it fills up the 16:9 display.

Ola all sifus!!

Got 2 question for u guys:

i. Im going to buy a new tv. With the length from the tv cabinet to my sofa is ±160cm, what size of the tv should be the best? According to the shop assistant, with that length, the best size tv is 32" only.

Im looking for a LED tv with Samsung topping the list.

ii. Is it worth it to buy a 32" LED tv? Seems like with the same price, I can get 40" or even 47" LCD tv...

Thanks for the helps guys & girls!!

Cheers.

THX Seat-to-screen Viewing Distance Calculations

How do you calculate the best seat-to-screen distance for a plasma, LCD TV or projection screen? Divide the size of your screen by .84 (screen size is measured diagonally). For example, a 65-inch TV divided by .84 equals a 77-inch viewing distance (6.5 feet).

If your HDTV is going in a living room with limited space, THX recommends the following:

35 inch class TV = 3.5-5 feet away
40 inch class TV = 4-6 feet away
50 inch class TV = 5-7.5 feet away
60 inch class TV = 6-9 feet way

It might seem that THX is recommending a very large screen size for your room. But, it’s important to note two things: 1) THX screen size recommendations are based on recreating an immersive cinematic experience, and 2) the biggest complaint among TV buyers is that they wish they had bought a bigger set.

I'm also waiting for S60 series, the retail price for S60 seems reasonable in US with 42-inch USD729, 50-inch USD829, 55-inch USD999 and 60-inch USD1299. Just not sure how it will price in Malaysia, hopefully it will be cheap  drool.gif  drool.gif

Review of S60 looks good in the internet.

hello guys.. am interested on this TV

on the screen I saw "3D World"

but i check the specification on LG website

it says "3D Ready = NO"

what does it means?

I went to my boss's house his 2 years old samsung TV that comes with 4 3D specs

I downloaded Wreck It Ralph 3D 1080p and played on it and it was AWESOME

how to c if a tv has 3D feature?\

what is 3D ready?

is "smart tv" means can watch 3D?

is this a 3D TV?

3D World is a 3D marketing from Sony. Any Sony product that's compatible with 3D will bear a 3D World logo.

Probably the LG tv that you're looking at is playing a Sony video demo.

3D ready means it supports 3D...can watch video in 3D.

Smart TV has nothing to do with 3D. Smart tv is just a tv with internet connection.
