The paper is saying it retails at Verizon network for USD199, convert to malaysia is roughly RM680.

I found in other forum, their state it is almost HTC Hero price, so i thk is ard 2K+ also.

hmm with that kind of price i wonder how they would beat the iphone. Considering the OS is totally free and they are the underdogs compared to apple iphone, shouldn't they price it cheaper?

yeah UK prices are almost always more expensive, because they will sell a $ 100 device for 100 pounds. This is quite common and widely known.
