i guess, getting from Dell Online is the safest and lowest price, especially if u re aiming for the i7 config...
to be honest, u can't expect any discounts for new technologies, and Dell themselves do have promotions from time to time.. |

QUOTE(outlife11 @ Dec 7 2009, 11:39 AM) Wow... your specs are almost the same as mine with the difference of mine having a 1GB GTX 260M GPU and is a Dell Alienware. Your price can get you an alienware, thats hefty to pay for a STUDIO XPS, But then you'll be saving on weight for sure.... |

Guys...
I already receive the feedback regarding the power throttle issue... "Thank you for contacting Dell Online Technical Support and good day to you! From your email, I understand that you wish to have a replacement of adapter to a 130W adapter. If I have misunderstood your concern, please do let me know. For your information, the system is being tested on the 90W and it can cater for the system performance. No doubt that that using a higher power on the system will increase the performance of the system. As of now, your issue has been highlighted to the engineering department for them to check on this matter. If there is any updates or news regarding the matter, we will get back to you. I would appreciate it if you could feedback on the outcome of your findings so that I may arrange the next course of action accordingly"... |

DELL Alienware owners are monitoring the same issue for the 15.6" model. THey have also been some reports of this power throttling issue when the system is pushed to high. The thing is many users are oblivious to this as they don't often push their machines to the limit. Hope DELL Resolves the issue for both models.

Yes, but then its an i7 720QM for the price you paid (RM6500) but with a better GPU and 6GB 1333mhz Ram. For the i7 820 QM ,its about 1K more.
