hmmmm, i didn't say about " asking or calling not to buy XPS16 "

Just that, if everything goes fine, only then i will decide buy one XPS16, Especially the i7 processor. Just doing some research and get some feedback first before buying one.

The video claims that RGBLED Display has 100% to 110% colours

WLED has only 60% to 70% colours.....

So Users of WLED, what are your comments on the " WLED " screen? Are you very satisfy of it?

Added on December 7, 2009, 10:11 pm

Need Spec :-) I might probably get one like yours!!! But why don't you get T9600 (2.8GH, 6MB Cache, 1066 MHz ) instead? It is only extra RM69
*
extra rm700 for 30%-40% colors does it worth or not ?

rm700 better buy external monitor
Dell ™ 23" Full HD Widescreen Monitor rm619 only

well, it's not that worth it. but buying a new monitor just for sxps16 is not that practical as well. how can u walk along with ur external monitor as the laptop already very heavy for some user

WLED is definitely nice IF u compare to normal LED screen..
for RGBLED, is about the same quality u normally see those 22"/24 "desktop monitor. or maybe those plasma HDTV color..

Well, comparing WLED and RGBLED, WLED color will be slightly pale, not much color tone compare to RGBLED..

Don ask for screenshot, cuz u won't see the different in your own monitor/screen.. u really need to see it in computer shop...
Else, imaging a normal landscape photo, and tone mapped HDR landscape photo. icon_rolleyes.gif

On a different note, if you guys think that the power throttling issue is like the end of the world for you, by all means...just dont buy it.
Seriously, its a great product for its price and there are so many fishes in the sea.. wink.gif

hi everyone... I need help...
Why my studio xps 16 cannot install PSPICE 9.1 student version?
I click on the installer, it is not runing and nth pop-up, cannot install.
Previously was using Vista 64-bit, cannot install. After i upgrade to Windows 7 64-bit still the same...
*
I use PSPICE last semester on Vista Home Premium 32-Bit, didn't try on Windows 7 64-Bit.

lol.. how to boot from pendrive? just place the ISO there? and make the BIOS boot up USB Drive 1st?
*
Not as simple as that, read more.
You have to convert the ISO files and format the USB drive at the same time to make it bootable.

They were out of stock though, so am going to pick it up from Lowyat in about 2~3 weeks time when i get back from my vacation in Vietnam smile.gif

rclxms.gif Well said.

I doubt i'm gonna push it to its limits very often, so for normal use it should be fine for me ^^

As long as if DELL change the Adapter to better suit the i7 . I'll be fine with that!

Well, ok . If it is still an issue for me in the end of the day. I rather alter my choice to Dell Xps Intel T9600 customize Spec...... Of Cause its a great product for its price and there are so many fishes in the sea.

im using RGBLED for few months now , i can say its really vivid and the colors really come out , but it takes alot of power. And yeah, its slightly bigger than the WLED too.

dell seriously needs to do something about this.. the sxps 13 and 16 threads in Notebookreview forums are complaining and unsatisfied with this problem.. how would you guys be satisfied? Fight for your rights biggrin.gif

Anyways.. dont go for it if it's already known to be a problematic system.. LoL some people with 130W adapters still cannot solve the throttling problem.. cant imagine dat..

well, if using a PSU with more watts doesn't solve the problem, it means that the hardware has overheated and thus the throttling...

the root of the problem is cooling...

I agree with you on this one.
Sometimes there are other related issues with power throttling. Room temp, ambient....etc etc...
