216 bios is missing on asus site.. is there any prob?
k40ab and k50ab use same bios eh?

i doubt they use the same bios... well.. since they have both separated.. better download the model u have... 213 and 216.. dont have much change.. u can use either one i guess..

trial and error... good luck in setting up... just install the drivers on asus website.. with the graphic driver on ur own preferences.. and also.. the audio VIA driver u shud download from the website..

anyone using this laptop play Crysis? I wonder why when i reached to the final stage(On the Desk), my lappy get Hang (4GB RAM)!!! Eventhough i try to set everything to low and the resolution is 800 x 600, but still Hang...any solution????

setup win 7 x64
i tried the mobility driver from ati the catalyst refuse to start..
tried force vista driver also the same..

so remove them entirely using driver cleaner.. and use modded normal catalyst.. seems ok..

but how to enable powerXpress?

i need more n more reviews n comments about k40ab... those who reserve posts, pls post XD

its been discussed.. power express is still a buggy thing.. not recommended.. so in the mean time just use dGPU mode until it is fixed..
modded catalyst is always da best IMO

if im given options, yes, i wan a med-gaming apart from my other needs of a laptop, given 2k range, can u name me other models that can compete with k40AB?

gonna go extensive homework before i make my decision (which by far, this asus is the 1 i really have deep interest with)

i think u won't find any model which comparable to k40ab/k50ab on performance/price ratio...

4670 is expensive..
dell with their studio 15 also using 4570 but priced @ RM2699 and using intel though..
bundled with win 7 home premium and free extra 1gb should be considered..
we are talking of RM700 different here..

designed wise i chose asus coz more usb port (4x dell 2 only).. though not came with hdmi n esata as provided by dell..

with dell u can buy customize backlit keyboard.. but i prefer extra num key on asus.. that's why took k50ab instead of k40ab..
