s1 adapted vol 1-3 of the novel
and x2 will adapt the remaining volumes for three separate parts.

if you mean arc, yes it is a new arc but focuses on already introduced characters in s1.

btw, you have reach ep24 of s1 and still didnt like it, I suggest you to stay away from it. You'll just wasting your time.

the arrangements for season 2 seems a bit more hectic/chaotic than season1 or baccano lol...

subtlety is a bit loss as they just jam everything in your face

what do you expect from a new studio created by previous animators who worked on the season 1 series?
At least they still retain those nuances, but then again, they shoved too much flashback-flashforward scenes in an episode which sometimes can be confusing.
