A wraparound jacket band has revealed that Durarara!!, the light novel series by Baccano! author Ryohgo Narita, is getting animated. The novels already inspired a manga series in Square Enix's G Fantasy magazine earlier this year. Narita has written six Durarara!! novels since he launched the series in 2004.(ANN)

Synopsis: The story takes place in a downtown of Tokyo, Ikebukuro. Teenage punks gang up and fight against each other. The gangsters are afraid of an urban legend "Dullahan" headless rider, who rides a black motorcycle without head lights nor sounds of engine. Ryuugamine Mikado is a normal high school boy who seeks peculiar beings. When he moves in to Ikebukuro, a mad scramble for Dullahan's missing head breaks out.

The original character designer of Durarara!!, Suzuhito Yasuda, is also the creator of Yozakura Quartet for your information
That's explain the drawing look similar to Yozakura Quartet...but I like the current character design by Takahiro Kishida.

Wow, what a huge cast of seiyuu. Definitely in my must-watch list.

Just watched the first episode of Durarara!! & wow it's turn out better than I expected. Catchy OP with Baccano-style in introducing character,nice ED.
It's fun to hear Kida lame jokes, especially the tone that he use it XD
LOL flying vending machine when Kida tells Mikado to stay away with Shizuo & hear Shizuo screaming like nuts.
Celty aka Headless Rider is totaly kick-ass,ramming a guy head to the pillar with motorcycle tyre,beat the crap out the second thugs & slicing the last thugs with scythes.
Oh Izaya little scene indicates that he's an interesting character,can't wait for him in the next episode

Yup. Episode 1 immediately caught my attention. I'm definitely gonna follow this series. But there are too many names that I find it a bit difficult to remember all of them. I'm extremely satisfied with the voice-acting though. A wonderful cast huh?
LOL at the flying vending machine. Heiwajima is gonna be cool.
I'm curious with that headless rider. How on earth that she (?) can exist?
Izaya looks badass as well. Yup, almost every character interests me.
OP and ED are great. I get hooked just by listening to them once. ED image is great.
