how to flash to window mobile 6.5, sum1 help me pls.. im a newbie..><

newbies better use ur original ROM for at least few month first to understand how WinMo work then just start learn how to flash, flashing to custom ROM got it own risk.

Just get yourself a custom rom, and it'll be better (manila 2d )

Samsung had confirmed that would not have official update for OMNIA. since WM7 coming out soon with new device.

Sorry, maybe my statement is not clear. I know Omnia is made with Resistive screen, and thus sensitivity is not so good. However, my senstivity is so bad that touch it with finger doesn't work, i basically need to use finger nail to tap alittle bit more hard to scroll or tap. You can see from youtube or modaco, ppl actually comment and said that old version (2008) batch of omnia touch screen panel (TSP) is not good and new batch 2009 will have better sensitivity. And in youtube, ppl change to the screen panel to new TSP and it works very well.

Compare to omnia 2, if you try before, using finger to tap and select or scroll, and it works without the need to tap hard on the screen. But my screen just doesn't works that way.

But last weekend, i went to lowyat and ask for the price, 180, 280 and 320RM. But Samsung SC quoted me with 252RM, seems like lowyat price is higher than SC.
Anyway, one of the technician try to use my omnia, and he claimed that after changed, the sensitivity will be the same.

so, i would like to know since many of omnian here, can you guys tell me how's ur phone screen sensitivity?????????

Bro try to find PC Inspector shop, they quoted RM220 for screen replacement in lowyat, i went there 2 weeks ago, im not sure on the sensivity, but before this my screen is also not sensitive and need to tap harder with my fingernails. now works brilliantly

are you a dupe for royalgold323 that been spamming about the same question about phone sensitivity via PM? very annoying with the sensitivity stuff as if asking me wearing condom and no wearing condom had the same feeling?
no offense if you are not him, because he been spamming me same question over and over again about sensitivity stuff.

my friend you just treat that as iphone la~ you can just push and press anything using your finger smoothly without any problem and without needing heavy pressures, but not multitouch just resistive.

does that answer clear enough? you already had the answer you want newer batch of screen had better touch screen panel, and YES old panel is less sensitive that you basically need more pressure to use with finger


my omnia never get connected in car that uses V-cool tint ....damn i test it full signal outside the car..once go into the car straight signal loss
tested with 4 cars using v-cool tint and yup will signal loss

anyone had this same situation before?

i just had my touch screen panel changed last week. and yes.the 2008 batch is not as resistive compare to the new batch (2009). ive been charged rm200 for the touch screen but it was worth it. now i dont have to press using finger nail anymore.

Guys, im using a custom rom.
But, i want to send my phone to claim warranty to change the screen because of low sensitivity in some areas.
I need to flash it to the original Samsung rom again, but the updater shows error "Incorrect Software Version, please check the device "
Do you guys know how i can flash it to original samsung rom ?

but when i go to samsung centre they does say about it
just change my touchscreen for FREE
now the touch response it much better

Will send my phone to SC next week to get the screen changed.
Thank god i bought additional 1 year warranty. It helps now...

Besides official Samsung service centres, where do y'all send your phones for repairs & servicing, esp. expired warranty ones?

it keeps prompting to align the screen even though countless time i've done it..

Try drawing a circle round each "+" instead of poking it in the center.

If not, create a blank text file with notepad, rename it to welcome.not, save it into an empty memory card and put it into your device. Turn on your device and see if it skip the align prompt.
