Hm.. my wifi problem is resolved, I think. The other day the phone was running low on batt, I guess that was the problem. No problems encountered so far with the shokka win 6.5 rom
Now I need to know, can I change the top notification buttons (on the start menu) ? Mine is in black and its not that visible :S |

Hey Omnian? Probably you passed my post, but wondering if there's any way to change my taskbar icons to the standard ones? Using shokkas v22 win6.5 , and the taskbar icons doesnt really suit me.
Another thing, is there any way to reinstall the touch player by samsung? I cant seem to write a text message while using either the windows media player / s2p. It'll lag heavily. |

QUOTE(Omnian @ Nov 12 2009, 10:11 AM) Hi headhunter7, Thanks alot omnian Maybe I didn't passed your post. Maybe I already forgotten how the standard Taskbar looks like and have no answer for it. If you don't like your present Icons, try THESE, post #3. As for the Samsung Touch Player, you can get it HERE. There's 3 versions, but try the latest ID1 first. Now I only have to find out how to sync the manilla's weather with my s2u2. |

The lower back part of the phone seems to be hot ,as if i I turned on the gps. I have nothing turned on the task manager, and yet somethings taking my memory as if Im using 256mb on Vista @_@ Someone help! I can't even maneuver through my phone. Restarted it MANY times, and I want to back up my sms first. ~_~! on shokkas wm6.5 , i thinks its the v23. This post has been edited by headhunter7: Dec 20 2009, 11:53 PM |

The camera works fine, its just that the filing system isnt like the original rom, the original rom names the camera files by SNC0001 ,etc.

^ Not using it at all, all I need is the activesync , or microsoft my phone (for vista/ win 7)
hey guys. Using a new rom now, on... OCK's rom. Very very sensitive to the touch, before this was using steffi's rom ,wasnt sensitive. I wonder if different rom comes with different touch sensitivity ? My current rom is great, 120mb+ of storage, and programs has about 50mb very fast. |

QUOTE 1. OCK rom is Wm6.5? it default come with Honeycomb menu? with M2d? Yeah shokka's rom ( used it before ) drained my batt quite abit, only last...3/4 of a day.2. steffi's ROM got any specific comment? because I am using shokka9 6.5 G ROM v23 1. without phone part in the ROM and use or default phone part, reduce the risk of brick the phone function 2. WM6.5 with honeycomb menu and Chome (for Lite version) 3. Opera broswer is removed from the ROM 4. total storage 151.84 mb, after install some program it still have 103.71mb I am looking for a more stable and batterry save ROM. currently i felt the shokka9 ROM still drain battery faster than the official 6.1 ROM Yeah ock's rom is win 6.5.3, build 23093. Using the DXIA5 version. Comes with the honeycomb, and BIGGER icons than shokkas Battery life , better than shokkas I think, yesterday at I was using my gps, and last night I checked before going to sleep, it was 70%. And now the batt is at 50%(the battery bar on the top of the screen shows the percentage). I could say this would go about one and a half days, maybe 2 , depending on your usage. There's a smart lock app in this phone, not really sure of what its supposed to do but i dont think shokkas rom had it ? Hmm. Another thing which bugged me was the photos and videos tab. An error came out (Albumsearcher.exe could not be found.) Read through the thread, noone seemed to comment about that. Had it fixed the other day, somehow it came back. The weather tab is more beautiful Comm manager, tools which has favorite hackings and showcase . Favorite hackings is something like.. advanced config. But the main point in this rom is the sensitivity. It's almost like a new phone already, a light tap would do. Other than that there's no bugs encountered so far (touchwood) Not much to say about steffi's rom, only drawback is the sensitivity. It's..more of a press rather than a tap ,and I think I might damage the phone pressing it :S. This post has been edited by headhunter7: Dec 28 2009, 01:49 PM |

If I'm not mistaken G Sensor is only for HTC phones, and yeah openGL isn't on our omnia. I think even the omnia II doesn't have it.

QUOTE(lun073 @ Jan 14 2010, 04:25 PM) Hi guys. As you can see that review is 2 years back, (approx.) the firmware might be outdated and such, that the screen might be unresponsive. I currently am using this phone, with many custom ROMS used, and to my experience, most of them are VERY responsive.I'm looking forward to own this phone, but before that I had search for some owner reviews from google and the below link is what I found. http://www.mobile-phones-uk.org.uk/samsung-omnia-i900.htm some of the users said that this phone is having serious problem in texting (sms), the screen is not responsive, reboot and laggy. Reviewed by Lance from England on 8th Sep 2008 However, I'm giving it one star as I just spent more than five minutes trying to scroll down to read a text and it kept zooming in. does any omnian here face the problem mentioned above? thanks. The newest rom.. DZIA5 from samsung too is responsive, but do not expect iPhone's touchability because the iPhone uses a capacitive type screen, that responds to heat signals from your finger. You could google more for that screen, the omnia and most winmo phones uses the resistive type touchscreen which enables you to use almost ANYTHING to touch the screen. I've even used my car keys to scroll through the menus. The screen is responsive if you use your hand, and in my opinion, more responsive to some HTC phones. The messaging problem occurs to me in my older rom, a new set of roms would resolve that problem. Even my new rom doesnt have that problem , all smooth sailing. The zooming in part is because he scrolled to the right part of the screen, which has an autozoom (of some sort) feature that is incorporated in almost all of the programs. So far, its been a great phone , which has a great camera for a winmo, good touchability and big storage (mine is a 16gb) If you can, try to test the thing first. The operating system/ ROMs could be customized to your needs, in your home |

QUOTE(Superkian @ Jan 15 2010, 05:27 PM) omg...samsung phone no value on the market one...i hear my said that.i guess is true...im regret to buy samsung liao...nx time wont buy this brand>< You dont have to bash a brand just because you bought a phone based on its resale value. Heck, if you bought ANY phone based on its resale value, you shouldnt have bought a phone in the first place.currently use sector last rom that, one word..lame. There are many roms you could use, any that's the only thing you could've said? My, how igenorant you made yourself sound. For the bricked omnia, you could try to reflash the phone back to the original rom, give it a go. Usually bricked phones are hard to revive. Micro, you could check the settings again in the first page, try to go through the steps. I've been using many roms and I've encountered your problem, a resetting of the settings worked the mms again. |

There's not much you can improve on phone ,actually.
Probably the screen size, camera pixels. But for now, nothing is revolutionary, and unless if someone implements an iron into a mobile phone, I wouldn't be upgrading my omnia for quite some time. Or maybe if someone gives me needed moolah for me to get the omnia II lol. The omnia is latin for "Everything". It pretty much has everything I need, and can change to everything at my will. Great stuff. |
