Instead of vouchers, it would be better to redeem cash. Every 200 points can be redeemed for RM1.

Agree. And you get more points in return. As opposed to using vouchers.

True, for MR points. Will do that from now on.

Govt tax RM50 x200 = 25k MR

If divide by 5x (optimistic), need to swipe RM5k

In fact, since I own Amex, I always make cash redemption whenever my total MR points reach 2,000. And, I ONLY redeem CASH.

200 MR = RM1
20k MR = RM100

But I only spend 16.7k for RM100 couple of years ago, which one more worth it ? brows.gif I redeemed rm1k jusco voucher for 160k+ points only.

But now, it costs 20k-21k+ points, then convert to cash better thumbup.gif

Hope my maths is correct this time. sweat.gif

If you like Amex Gold cc, then go for it.

Amex Platinum cc seems very attractive too, as it offers more benefits than Amex Gold cc for the time being.

It's much easier to get the waiver if compares to its newly launched that time.
I have got my second year's waiver. rclxms.gif
