QUOTE(qzplx @ May 25 2011, 02:34 PM) Oh.. Okay, my budget max is 200-400. But I would prefer for 1055, since its more simpler. For based on chip I saw below product selling on lowyat: Datage R1055, AC Ryan Essential, and I also found Mede8er MED300X but couldnt found whose selling this in Malaysia. For time being I'm intrested with MED300X as I saw the interface UI look nice Datage R1055 Selling 200Rm, AC Ryan selling around 315 same chipset, and which I dont know why this more expensive, probably the casing, hw, and software. As I can see here, seems like everyone rarely using 1055, may I know why, as I think maybe because of the price only slightly differ ? http://www.himedia-tech.cn/en/product_show.php?id=21 good luck with your player hunt^^ |

With Malaysia moving towards higher speed broadband, hard disks gets filled up really fast. Even 2TB might not be enough very soon (if all the contents inside are HD files). |

IMHO, as HDD getting cheaper and higher BB speed, the files we download gets bigger. think the next trend will be HDD docking, so USB 3.0 may be worth having.

but, 1055 havent use usb 3 yet, i think I'm okay with this, the thing is, i dont really need the lan/wifi, spp, etc... I only need to transfer and play only. But sadly its very rare to find 1055
Added on May 26, 2011, 12:06 pm QUOTE(zhen^wei @ May 26 2011, 01:00 PM) you can choose the player maybe not need support internal haridks. but got the esata. can put 3.5" / 2.5" hdd at outside player. Yes, but like this not quite good solution for me, as I have to put another electric cord, and I have to bring along all of them in 1 place which is more heavier.... sigh..... gosh, I wish someone here selling MED300x Oh ya, next question, I saw 1055 chipset only have output composite ? What is the difference between composite and component ? I have very old tv and lcd tv, is composite can be use in all tv ? like crt ? This post has been edited by qzplx: May 26 2011, 12:06 PM |

But not very sure about how the composite and analog output works, try goto a shop and test it.^^ Actually if you willing to buy from China, there's another one can recommend, Kaiboer H1055 plus (this one is with 3.5" HDD mount)Added on May 26, 2011, 12:06 pm Yes, but like this not quite good solution for me, as I have to put another electric cord, and I have to bring along all of them in 1 place which is more heavier.... sigh..... gosh, I wish someone here selling MED300x Oh ya, next question, I saw 1055 chipset only have output composite ? if want mount internal hdd 2TB. recommend this model. (realtek 1073DD+)
http://www.datage.com.cn/player/info only RM280. FYI:, 1055 chipset don't have Sata controller, they need extra usb controller convert (usb/sata). slow~ thats why cost high (Acyan). |

Hi All,
Thanks to, zhen^wei, yangxi for the tips etc, I already bought MED500X with Realtek 1073 DD C+ chipset. Now I want to buy the wifi usb dongle, anyone selling compatible dongle for this ? As I believe Mede8er dongle hard to find. Read some forum, its compatible with: Realtek 8191su,rtl8187, RTL8192 + RTL8256 and 11n8709 need clarification on this from the experienced sifu. Currently my home only use G Wifi, not N. Thanks |
