My colleague just received sms from Maxis asking him to collect his iPhone tomorrow, details as below:

Booking Date: 17 Oct 2009

has the ordering waiting list improved for iphone? or the short waiting time is only for certain outlets?

planning to get one too.. but hate the 1 mth waiting time... blush.gif

whoa..i booked mine on the 15th oct and i havent received any notification yet. i started to see a pattern here, it does look like waiting period for the 32GB version is lesser compared to 16GB.

i book on 7th OCT and the sales girl said 32g can get in 3 weeks time

By the way, he book his i3GS at Maxis Centre Sunway Pyramid.

Yes, i think 32GB will take lesser waiting period compare to 16GB as mentioned quite many times in this thread
I myself get my i3GS 32GB Black within 13 days (thru Machines) while my another colleague got his i3GS 32GB White in 10 days (Maxis KLCC)

well i just got back from pavillion...well the 16gb is like hot cake...so the staff is pushing most of them to get 32gb...those who can afford to change to 32gb..i think you wont have a probs...those who still wants 16gb...try goin there early in morning tomolo..they told that the stock is arriving by evening today or tomorrow morning....morning is first come first serve...there are several of guys got 16gb phone just ordered today and got it today....

if i decide to upgrade to d 32GB version, i wud have to fork out another rm400 since i took the ivalue1 plan. hhmm, shud i or shud i not?! sweat.gif

btw, went to maxis mep at ou earlier, just to satisfy my curiosity and ask them abt y there's a different in waiting period among the maxis branches..wanna see how they wud explain it.

he answered nonchalantly, it depends on the branch itself and the shipping procedure, perhaps they encountered problem during the shipping etc. hearing dat, in my head, i went, yeah, right!!!!!!

dat was clearly not a satisfying answer and did nothing to quell my restlessness in wanting to get an iphone sooner than later.

any other explanation/reason u guys was informed of regarding the waiting period?

been to pavillion tonight at 7.30 pm and managed to get 32gb black one. They are running out of stock on 16 gb and you may get tomorrow first come first serve.

wonder why such mismanagement in maxis , when people prebook and scrathing their head for delivery, while others just walk away with itchy phone (no waiting &simple walkin as i did).

thanks all you bro for posting the stock availability in pavillion.

i dont know what is going on because 2 weeks ago pavilion also have the same thing and people like us have to wait 3 week to 2 month for iphone cry.gif cry.gif
