achew: I would suggest you justify it by going out and taking pictures of Singapore in general! I went crazy just photographing everything I could! Shoot real bokeh instead of Photoshopping it in - the A850 begs you to!

The STF lens of course requires you to frame your pictures to have a busy background (which is then melted into creamy perfection by the STF.)

The lens aperture is physically F2.8. The DOF is the same as a F2.8 lens.

However, the Transmission value is the same as a F4.5 lens - meaning the shutter speed you get is the same as a lens at F4.5.

haha..im not so into street photography yet...perhaps i'll give it a try 1 day =)

hmm..so i guess thats what i saw..so it basically more suitable under day light...hmm...

But still can tell its pped.. sometimes.. too smooth to be true =P her acne breakouts hard to blur out as there is alot.. i think if she had one or 2 pimples, then the process should be easier..

*
haha..i guess probably u saw the orig one b4...i already tried to left some flaws on the forehead..lol..never totally remove everything so that it looked more like covered up by makeups rather than photoshop =p

anyway i guess supposingly her skin shd b quite ok...probably its just these few days she had the prob with acnes..

if retouch the colour of her shoulder so that it is closer to the face and hand, then it might look even more realitstic
*
i never really change the color...the color diff btwn face n shoulder was there in the orig shot probably due to the flash light...just that after adjusted the contrast n brightness the face is a lil bit too fair..hahaha...

i see
cos from my opinion, the face a bit too much "pop" cos it much brighter that the shoulder area
the separation from face to background is very pronounced till it looks like the model is holding the head, in front of the body
if can smoothen it, then might more natural
*
quick touch b4 i go to work

user posted image

-reduce the diff btwn face n shoulders
-enhance the details on her hair

KM135 F2.8 i last seen one 2nd hand priced at 1.6k it's cheap but i rather save the money to grab a sal70-200 F2.8 (1.6 is 30% of the full price)

watchman from Photoborneo owns one and did a light review of this vs sal135 stf. and, still the STF FTW

sigh...not so willing to spend so much nowadays..felt so guilty..lol
