Ok. I thought miku has a round face, but I'll fix it. No takers on colorist? I'm not so good at colouring. But the last time I did was like 2-3 years ago. I'm a really slow digital artist.


Guess i'll go get my tablet from my workplace. Using my tablet as a mouse at work lol. Old graphire2 4*6. Still want an intuos, but my current skill level says I shouldn't use something so expensive yet, lol.


I really want to speedpaint that Makinami Mari. I had a nice touhou marisa one, but that got stolen, it escapes me why someone would steal my WIP. (It was never finished, did it with pastels on drawing paper.)


Thankfully work not so much this past week, and that makinami pic is motivating me. Only got till the 25th for free time though.

fingerpainting on the ipad is fun, you should try it.

Lol i got paint, but still like to use stylus to draw lol.

@ sakura , cf replied.... They said can take the cf art to print since that is volunteer work, so i got authority to do what i wan.

Lining with stylus is different from pencil, still cant get used to it.

For tablet , pressure = more to width of stroke. For real pencil , pressure = opacity of stroke, with consistent width.

That one use setting la....
Can set brush size small small one...or set the pressure not so sensitive whatever.

And before pressing the nib of the stylus, the crosssair can located, so use that to agak-agak the position of your pen.

Or use pencil back la, then draw edi, then use tablet colour it.

that's what pros do like noizi ito. she draws on papers first and then scan it. then she uses tablet to color

eh not bad. i like this kind of coloring =3

Same technique speed painters use, but for an amateur like me, remove the speed part, lol. My problem is making the picture more defined, with stronger and more contrasting tones. But this is why i'm constantly practicing. Thing is, motivation is hard to come by, since this usually takes me 2-3hours of sitting down and facing the pc.

I'm fixing the miku pic. Redrawing len, meiko and neru. Didn't really study their look properly enough, I guess.

Btw, the miku pic, the not smooth part refering to the colouring or the lines? If I ink it with drawing pens, I think I can make the lines quite fine, like my mechagirl picture.

hey that meiko pic is perfectly fine for me xD len u might want to fix the nose. neru is not bad o_O i think neru nose position only wrong. might want to move it a bit to the center?

i was talking about the coloring. its look like.. erm not mix up coloring. but after u mention, the lining also not that smooth actually xD
