From manutd.com:

Red stars doubtful for Anfield

QUOTE
Five big names failed to board United’s plane to Moscow on Monday. Only one – Patrice Evra – is a certainty to return on Sunday against Liverpool.

Sir Alex confirmed Evra, who “had a little problem in his heel” and did not travel to Russia, will return to the Reds for this weekend’s crunch clash at Anfield. But United may have to face Rafa Benitez’s men without Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs, Darren Fletcher and Ji-sung Park.

It will be a minor miracle if Park plays – “We’ll probably need two weeks,” the boss said in Moscow – while United’s medical staff are working overtime to ensure boyhood Everton fan Wayne Rooney takes to the pitch on Sunday.

“We’re fighting to get Rooney ready,” Sir Alex said. “It’s a bit of an uphill fight but we’re trying.

“With Giggs it’s difficult to say with the injury he has… and Fletcher’s a slight doubt. He picked up a knock on international duty. But we hope to get the main players ready for Sunday because it’s a big game."

Before that, United are in Champions League action against CSKA Moscow on Wednesday (kick-off 17:30 BST).

I dont think tonight game is more important than this weekend. If we get draw it will be good. SAF might use defensive tactic this time...

i remember somebody in some thread wrote something like this quote :

You know what.. the different between RB and AF is, while AF always preparing his team and set up to win the game, RB preparing his team to not to lose

But this weekend game is soooo damn crucial for Pool. The result will decide whether they are still in or out..or its just delusional.

I really hope that our first eleven will be 100% fit for that match. It will be one hell of a game.
*
doesnt mean it gonna be less crucial for united.. they beat us twice last season, time for revenge and the result will decide whether we can stay ahead on the table plus sending pool out of contendership tongue.gif

not only that,

it is no good to face a pool team with 4 loses in a row because it will be a different liverpool team on sunday ...

and they have extra 1 day to rest and no need travel so far ...

most important, united also not in the good form

and This as well.

Nope - changed user name.

Was not posting here often because I supported Barca since Rome but now that Madrid look decent, decided to switch back to United until I find out who is leading in La Liga

Yeah but even though we're playing shit, we're top of the league. Same can't be said about Rafa Beneathus

This sunday's match will be a very tough one. We aren't in a very good form either, we may have dominated first 70 minutes against bolton but afterthat we were like unable to hold the ball much anymore. Liverpool will be very desperate for a win especially against us, which would entirely change their mood. So far, only evra has confirmed for anfield's game while rooney is still fighting for fitness and giggs & fletcher still remain a doubt.

Tonight's UCL game will be earlier at 12.30 am, so expecting us to rest some key players? Anyway, most of them are injured already. tongue.gif
