For several million rupiah the left shoes should be fitted by Cut Tari & the right by Luna Maya !!
*
Um... i bet there are several websites you can watch their fitting skills... rolleyes.gif

As for the nice stuffs in Plaza Indonesia.... that's kinda like their starhill... the only shops i actually frequent there is the "Duck King" gotta love their menus

By the way pupjoint, maybe we can meetup next time I'm in JKT (should be next month, pointless going down during the lebaran period, not to mention the threat of a free haircut currently offered). Will be staying at Hyatt as usual.

went back to Harvey Nichols on sunday, couldnt find any Edward Green or Lobb, found some Churches on 50% discounts, but as expected with sales items, very very few choices and sizes available, nothing caught my eye. prices after discount was USD280...before USD560.
*
Where is HN located? And any idea when is their sales until? 50% churches looks tempting..

so what actually justify the price you pay? coz i'm not a person who will pay few Gs for an LV shoes that wear and fit like crap.

i'm expecting a lil bit more elaboration of 'high-end' smile.gif
*
I think the bunch here lean towards the "ye old english stuff". LV, Prada, etc etc is not approved. Maybe upper lip not stiff enuf? hmm.gif

most of u talking bad about LV shoes has obviously never hold , tried and inspect one closely before laugh.gif

you guys arent talking from experience rather baseless assumption that designer product from brand such as lv must be selling overpriced low quality crap
*
With all due respect, for me, it's personal opinion, LV stuff just do not agree with me aesthetically. Even when I do buy branded stuff, i do not like a HUGE label of their brand anywhere on the product, I do not believe in providing free advertising for them tongue.gif

What are the odds of a pair of shoes shipped from the US via Priority Mail to be detained by the local customs?
*
Are shoes taxable? Anyway if it does, you will get a mail and you have to "settle" at about 30% of the actual tax value...

ofcourse being labelled "gift" you might talk your way out of it...

Seller refused to mark the item as gift. Now should I proceed?
*
From what I understand, shoes have an import tax of 15% and sales tax of 10%. Shoes made out of leather is supposedly tax free.
I know biking boots (even made from full grain leather) are taxed as they tag it as motorcyling paraphernalia.

So, in the worst case scenario you are looking at 25% tax on top of your CIF value. But you can settle for about 30% of that, receipt free...

the LV is abit tacky but it is kinda interesting.... need opinions
*
I would vote for the 2nd (LV) shoe. The Hermes, there is not a logo in-sight. No one will know you are wearing a hermes! It looks just like some Larrie!

Cheap and efficient, you can even use your own wood, hinges etc if you want something special/premium

I think you should get an LV shoe. They go well with belts with buckles the size of tangerines.

Also, try contacting LilFreak. Maybe you two can go shopping together. Be his co-blogger!

What kakmj meant was something along these lines... ferragamo can be a little too mild/understated
