True if you're talking about brands in the same tier.

I've looked at the current Loake 1880 (the most expensive Loakes) and they are rather unimpressive compared to the C&Js. The older Loake 1880s are much better (before 2004).

The Cheany's at P.Lal is a whole tier lower than Loake 1880.

yeah it has disappeared. it used to be on the handgrade page but was for their entire c&j stock (including benchgrade). maybe that means they have received new stock.

they told me they bring in a container once a year, which is why if your size is not available they cannot order just for you.

Polishing my shoes is pretty low down in the priority list, but with the quality waxes I've bought and the good technique I've learnt over the years the results are always satisfying. When I actually get around to it. The trick to polishing black captoes (every man needs a pair) is to finish with several coats of oxblood/bordeaux.

Aiyah, the CEO sure lose lah. He is 50+ years old and smokes. Probably needs a carton of <removed> before something stirs down there.

Why would you want to see shoes which emit toxic fumes?

I think you should get an LV shoe. They go well with belts with buckles the size of tangerines.

Also, try contacting LilFreak. Maybe you two can go shopping together. Be his co-blogger!

Now you got to buy some sort of black wax polish (I recommend StarWax at Jusco or Carrefour) and spend a few hours water polishing it. Black captoe Oxfords are very uncharismatic when not given a super high gloss.

You bought the wrong thing. Either Kiwi shoe wax in the metal tin or StarWax in a similar but plastic container. Spit polish is only possible with a wax that uses non-water soluble solvent. Make sure the cloth you use is really 100% cotton, even a bit of polyester in it will give you no gloss.
