We've seen his shoes collection and his socks collection. All I want to see next is his underwear collection.

I thought I'd just post here a pair of Thai-made shoes.
![]() I find it very nice in construction and leather, especially for the price. Without peeling open the sole, it appears to be Goodyear welted with cork stuffing. Leather insoles and outsoles. The uppers aren't really the finest calf leather, but are quite nice and rustic-ish. Only RM480 (after 20% discount) at Isetan KLCC. Mango Mojito is the brand. Yeah I was acquainted to the brand through a friend who was wearing their loafers. I went to Isetan expecting to buy the loafers, but found them a little mushy to stand on. Then the oxfords caught my eye; I tried them on and they were a perfect fit.

No, they only glue on rubber half-soles. The closest place to have a goodyear resole is in Singapore.

![]() I had my old Loakes patinated by a patina artist who learnt his craft in Paris. 80% of the colouration was painted on with leather dye; 20% is wax. This makes it quite permanent. ![]() The scuffs on the heel were made more contrasty to elevate them to a decoration. This post has been edited by kotmj: Jun 9 2016, 02:40 PM |

The Allen Edmonds fit quite poorly; notice how splayed open the lacing is. For this reason, I prefer derbys these days.

Got mine from Bexley. I believe the cheapest option but not the best quality.

Shot this to show the pffk! of air rushing out of the shoe. It's an indicator of good heel fit. |

I'm organising something of a flea market for used shoes this Thursday (Thaipusam day) in my SoHo in Empire City, Damansara Perdana. For sellers, instead of meeting up individually with each potential buyer, you get access to multiple potential buyers in a single session. For those interested in buying, you get to try on many shoes before committing.
Drop me a PM if you have shoes you'd like to divest from. |

Public service announcement: Tomorrow from 2pm till 5pm, on a first-come first-served basis, the following shoes from two separate sellers will be available for purchase. They range from size UK6 till UK7. Various brands are represented: Cheany's, Septiemme Largeur, Meermin, Crockett & Jones, Christian Kimber, Loakes, etc. All lightly used but massively discounted. Basically, they just want to get rid of shoes they no longer wear. To give you an idea of pricing, all Meermins are RM250.
Venue: C-19-06, Colonial Loft, Empire City, Damansara Perdana GPS: 3.166263,101.614795 Time: 2pm -5pm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by kotmj: Feb 8 2017, 01:34 PM |

QUOTE(niakulah @ Nov 22 2017, 11:10 AM) Jeremy Tok was waxing lyrical (pardon the pun) about starwax in this very thread a few years back. I bought some, didn't like it. Based on what I own and have used, Saphir>Kiwi>Starwax. What don't you like about Starwax?Never tried liquid starwax...don't think I've even seen it before. |
