I dont prefer tassels but theres nothing pondan about it. Moc loafers with tassels is a very traditonal banker/lawyer look. And im not talking about the ocbc bankers that ask you to sign up for a credit card. I'm talking wall st (having used to work for two of the largest firms in the world)

If you can pull it off and feel confident - do it. But if youre in kolej or still on the younger side your peers wont get it.

^Replied like a BOSS.

kotmj is the one with the best looking pink chinos on the eastern side of the world

I know tassel loafers are the trad business attire in M'erica. Just don't know what people around these parts of the world think. Peer acceptance still > me.

It will take another 2-3 years before me > peer acceptance and the "norm" around these areas.

Lol about the "BOSS" comment. Nice play.

I think we all measure ourselves (to some extent) around the people we are interacting with. Peer acceptance will always have some part. If its not judging shoes its something else - boats, cars, which private jet charter is the best, etc.

There is nothing wrong with trying to fit in amongst your peers even if somewhere on the higher portion of the style ladder. Some people just say wear what you want and its what you project that matters, but that rationale has its limits.

Nevertheless, its always refreshing to gain some insight on what people of other age groups, social classes, nationalities, etc. Think. It helps us build our own character too, and helps to define where we want to fit in.

I want to remind everyone that only shoes as those described in the first post of this thread belong here.

If it does not have a leather sole it does not belong here.

Please edit your thread's title accordingly and include a proper description to reflect the true purpose of this thread (e.g. Leather-soled oxfords, derbies, monks and loafers only. Shoes with rubber soles are not allowed) as it seems that quite a number of users have started posting here without reading your first post.

No but I have purchased shirts and the quality has always been excellent.
In fact, I have another order (hopefully) on its way. Order fulfillment has been extremely slow lately.

My preference is to go towards shoes from the reputable/well-known shoemakers in England. You can probably get a pair of Goodyear welted Loakes for the same price.
