Nice. But something is not right. Please put more creases on those C&Js.

QUOTE(lanatir @ Apr 4 2010, 10:11 PM)
my shoes have some creases here and there and some tiny scuffs which are more or less well hidden from my regular polishings. u can see the grain showing more and more due to wear and polish but i'm liking how they're developing  smile.gif

Those are cap toes, not wingtips. I would keep the Ballys, the others are just gauche squared toe bluchers.

Cracked welt? Replace it.

It's not normal. Did you cut it somewhere?

That does not look like patent leather either. It should be as glossy as those NS shoes.

What is the make?

Why would you want plastic shoetrees anyway? They don't absorb moisture or keep the shoes scented.

I would forget about shoe trees when wearing cheaper shoes. Newspaper stuffing would work the same.

How hard would it be to remove the rubber outsole? Just rip them off, send them away for restoration and stick on a new one thereafter.

Added on July 14, 2010, 10:43 pmI don't think that pair needs any refurbishment. It looks just fine.

I have an issue with leather soles. Whenever I walk on paved roads, tiny pebbles got stuck onto those leather soles, making funny noises whenever I walk back on polished surfaces. Additional rubber outsole solves the problem.
