Added on May 11, 2011, 5:44 pmthe price range mostly based on the doll size...their common scale 1/6,1/4,1/3....the bigger the more expensive of cost...for 1/6 scale price can be around 300-1000..1/4 500-1500...1/3 1500-3500...the price should be around what i mention...

Kryseis, are you interested in getting MSD (43cm) or SD (60cm)? I think I can help you if you don't mind owned dolls up for sale as for Custom House, I think they're having problems due to the numerous police and custom reports they've been receiving by angry buyers lol.

zeonczk, firebat's price range is quite accurate. Then again, it depends on which company/manufacturer you're looking at. And also if they're limited edition or not

I personally love Soom and Iplehouse dolls. I've seen BJD from these two companies and really love their poseability. But of course, the price is making me choke and gag all along the way too hahahahaha

venge: it depends? SOOM dolls are generally sold out as they produce Monthly Dolls that are limited editions, and iple has basic dolls too that are usually available most of the time (minus limited edition ones)

most of the bjd come with just blank body only..for what i know..dollfie dream come with wig and cloth...maybe a good start for u?..but still depend your preference..

They offer the blank doll, and with additional $$ you can get the clothes, shoes, wig, as well as the faceup

Most of the doll companies do this by the way - offer a blank doll and any extra add-on will be extra charge.

If you're interested in getting a doll but not too sure about the price of the clothes/faceup/etc you can always look out for BJD artisans here in Malaysia for help My Alex's faceup was done by a talented BJD artist (sadly she's no longer in this hobby) and it was only RM60 if compared to requesting for default faceup from the company which would roughly cost 60USD.

There's also BJD tailors though not many, but there's always taobao if you know where to look for it



On the other hand, if you don't mind pre-owned dolls, I can direct you to a Facebook group I'm currently handling for BJD owners. There, you can find great deals every now and then, and other BJD owners sell their things there too.
