It depends...the World Record seekers don't care if it dies in 1 hour, 1 day, 10 days and so on...but the average mild overclockers would love to last for 1 year or so...

But usually when OCing, overclockers tends to use high quality products and components so that it last during OC...heck the average users only buys RM170 motherboards, compare to OCers who spends up to a whopping RM1.5k for a mobo!!!! and yet, the average ppl would like their PC to last maybe 3-4 years... then an OC mobo can last 10 times more theoretically of up to 40 years...

d highest i've ever tried was 1.7xv on a 90nm (retail 3800+ f3 which is not as gud as those brought by bro dblooi), never tried > 1.6v after that.

d chip (0922cpmw) was havin d same issue (can't hit 4.0GHz on 3dmark06) even on biostar 790gx a3+ (which to me easier to tweak than this gaygaybite), perhaps one or more cores really capped @ 3.9xGHz. but still i will keep tryin until d bundle sold...

personally would like to break my own record @ 20k in 06 but d extra bandwidth provided by d dual x16 lanes proved not enuf pawer, need higher nb freq + cpu clock...
