some question for u guys...
small FFT>>passed
memtest>>passed
large FFT test >>phailed..

so i suspect the CPU NB...but...i lower the multi....i increase volt..all not helping..any other idea?

SS? all the SS that i posted here lately having the same issue....now ayam irritated

yup got 4th core unlocked.. but not stable. when running prime95 cpu temp reach 56 auto shutdown sad.gif

woops, I got almost similar things with you, just 2 days ago, but mine is X3 710, idle only around 29-30c, now clock to 3.1ghz, highest temp I saw reach around 41c sweat.gif

oh u manage to unlock 4th core with x3 710? urm.. ohh ur idle temp only 30c... so sad mine idle around 40c sad.gif 10c different.. wahahah =/

if not unlock...the temp can go further?

try adding vcore....i dont think u set the 56c to auto shutdown...mebbe not enogh vcore....add 1 notch and test 1st...

I didnt unlock yet oh, I just overclock the 3 cores, cause I am afraid the 4th 1 might be defected core hmm.gif
if its a defect 1, can the core be disabled later? sweat.gif

oh should able to disable the core. cause i tried mine. can unlock it and lock it back. just change back the setting in bios biggrin.gif

oh, haha, Michael did you check the temp before you unlock the 4th core? is your temp @ 3 core same as temp @ 4 core?

hmmm, stock HSF? I not sure, cause when I bought it, I straight change to CM TX3, the idle temp @ 29-30c tongue.gif
its on stock speed btw.

is your clock speed @ stock? 42c seems hot hmm.gif

any CPU VID in the bios? go explore...or just seek for CPU voltage then....add 1 notch..test and add another if not stable

depends on cooler leh..

60c is consider safe for load...
but best to fit below 55..

my clock @ stock.. didnt change the clock speed... if i change i think i will getting more heat.. tongue.gif

yes... try add some... from auto >> +0.002 perhaps...(or any smallest value)

as long not meet 55 on load. then its safe..
consider that is an unlock proc...if u concern too much with the temp...lock it back

42c is quite ok ler, my cpu using CCF idle at 37~38c full load never reach above 52~54c when i oc..
FYI if the temp is around 29~30 i think maybe something wrong with ur temp reading, either that or u r locked inside a deeply cooled air-cond room sweat.gif
