Will the shazam and soundhound works with local songs? I meant can they identify local songs? |

An interesting app: My TeeVee
MyTeeVee allows you to have your local Malaysian TV guide in your pocket anytime, anywhere. With a great and friendly user interface you will never have to miss another episode of your favourite TV show We have added most of the popular TV channels on Astro, and will be adding more. ![]() ![]() The best thing is it's FREE and they have added ASTRO channels (well at least some of the more popular one), and you can choose from any of the category from the home menu. This should be of very great convenience without having to look for Astro's manual guide or from the astro's service. The bad thing is, the app is still not stable as it's just been released abt two week ago. Hope new version will fix the stability issue. P/s: the UI looks very windows phone 7ish..with all those enlarged text and images.. |

QUOTE(jimbet1337 @ Jun 9 2010, 10:23 PM) Guys, I tried to download ESPN 2010 FIFA World Cup App but it's only applicable for US account. Is there any way to download it? It's WC fever. So expect iTunes also in the same mood. Just click Football banner on the home screen of iTunes. Will give you several option but most of them paid one.Seems like any other apps that related to world cup don't really suit my liking. I wish to find the one that has push notifications for goals and basic stuffs like schedule and news. I also prefer free apps, if there's any Thanks BTW, in case anyone not realizing Layar has been updated with new feature. If you choose the Local tab, then Price Compare layer, it will give you price comparison from major hypermarkets. The list of product is limited and only to basic groceries only like chicken, prawn etc. No branded product like Milo etc. Still this is a good replacement app until someone produce RedLaser for our local goods. |

Great News!
To those eager on WC and looking for: 1. Live score with Push! notification 2. Local time match 2010 World Cup South Africa™ is on SALE! for $0.99 (Previously $6.99!) Sale ends once the WC starts. This app is developed by Infindo, the same developer that brings EPL match apps with Push!. I have both of the EPL and La Liga one. and Push in both apps works fine. Perhaps delay by 2-3 minutes in terms of goal notification. |

RedLaser doesn't have our local barcode database la. Unless you are scanning imported item, chances are you won't get any price at all.

Google app has been updated with Goggle! Finally we have the juices of Android. A cool feature is searching for info by simply 'Click' your camera!
It works! Probably much faster by typing but let say you have a picture that you doesn't know the name of the product, this might help! |

QUOTE(bizness @ Oct 20 2010, 12:55 AM) TapTrace Pro Have downloaded before. The online on PC service is useless. It might work or might not. If it does work it will give your location several days ago. What's the point?Special offer: FREE! (Usually $3.99) Be quick! TapTrace helps you to recover your iPhone or iPod Touch in the event that it is lost or stolen. Pro Version: Track your device in the background (iOS4 running on iPhone4/3Gs only) To send a message to your lost device, simply log on to the TapTrace website (www.taptrace.com) from another computer and create a message to send to your device. If the finder opens the message that you have sent, the device will attempt to contact our servers and send information about its location. The information is then made available to the registered owner of the device. The finder of the device also has the opportunity to send a message back the owner without revealing any private contact information about the owner. Remember, the easier it is to locate and return your device - the greater the likelihood it will be successfully recovered! Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Guys get this application..Just found that it is free.. Thanks |

Birthdays! is FREE for today only (20th OCt).
http://itunes.apple.com/my/app/birthdays/id379876186?mt=8 Two good things abt the app are: 1. Using local notification - more reliable than push + no $$ required 2. Facebook integration since the official fb doesn't really remind you of upcoming birthday until you open it. I have another app which is birthdays+push, which use push only and without much of feature |

Just to share my accidental finding.
Ringtone Converter http://itunes.apple.com/my/app/ringtone-co...d393316867?mt=8 it's free and it's working. it might not have all the settings and features like in any similar paid app and can't even assign to alarm tone, but it really works and automatically cut the 30 secs duration. you just need to ensure you have AAC version to make this things works which a simple task to do in iTunes. great app This post has been edited by mmmbop: Oct 21 2010, 11:14 AM |

QUOTE(ionStorm @ Oct 21 2010, 11:55 AM) You can also make your own ringtones using Audacity. Just make sure they are less than 30 secs, and save it to MP4 format, then rename to M4R and sync with phone. the latter part is the hassle part. With the ringtone converter app, 30sec is automatically cut. No need for format renaming. But you still need both iPhone and PC to transfer the file to iTunes |

bolt browser is free for limited time..go download..quite fast
Added on October 28, 2010, 11:14 am QUOTE(lilster @ Oct 28 2010, 11:08 AM) Y u didn't ask in the GPS thread instead? TTS ="Text-to-Speech". It's a feature that can spell the name of the road. Previously the voice navigation will simply says, "Turn left in 300 meters". Instead of simply saying that, it can now says "Turn left to Jalan Maharajalela". But this will depends on the map data, whether they have included the name or not. Plus, I'm doubt to buy it. quite pricey while it supposed to be free for Pro user. 2ndly, do realize that only English TTS available, so most Malay road names in Malaysia might sound funny or not recognizable at all. might confusing you. unless it's a complete TTS that spells the name and distance as well. Attention to speed demon!
Cobra iRadar Available only US iTunes. First of all, this is no fluke. This is an app that help you manage the detection of police radar scanner. Basically, this is just a marketing tool. Because you still need the Cobra Detector unit for this to work. Even without this app, the detector still can work except that you can't manage the settings, history etc. The detector is yours for USD129.99 from Amazon Cobra Webpage Just be cautious though, if the police pull you over because of the detector, you might be slapped with much heftier ticket! QUOTE Detection Evolved Welcome to the future of Radar Detection. Cobra iRadar combines industry leading radar/laser detection technology with the power of the iPhone. Connect to iRadar using your phone's Bluetooth connection to view radar alerts, control settings, log alert history, and be warned of upcoming speed and redlight cameras. iRadar is the most innovative, technologically advanced, and user-friendly detector device ever created. Cobra iRadar App • Alerts to speed & redlight cameras, known speed traps, and dangerous intersections • Displays visual alerts from the detector on the iPhone* • View alert history on the radar map view • Control radar detector settings from your iPhone* Cobra iRadar Detector unit: • Detects all radar & laser guns • Provides 360 degree detection • Reduce false alerts with City/Highway Mode Note: Certain functionalities of this app are only available when linked to a Cobra iRadar Detector unit. To purchase a Cobra iRadar detector unit go to www.cobrairadar.com or enter the store page on the app. * iPhone must be connected to a Cobra iRadar Detector unit to enable this functionality ![]() Added on November 1, 2010, 11:25 amVoice Reminders Went free for the Halloween, but has gone back to $3.99 just now. Sorry folks! Well, as the name implies, it's a reminder app but by using voice. You can record your own voice. Repeat function available for birthdays etc. A neat app that does the function of iPhone stock reminder, with voice that is. Nothing special anyway. ![]() This post has been edited by mmmbop: Nov 1 2010, 11:25 AM |
