can i know what application is that ?

*
Well, i have never use it anyway..It's a new release. But it needs active participation from every user. everytime police roadblock is spotted, you need to mark the location in the apps in the form of google maps. so now and then you'll get real time information from other users of the police whereabout.. you can check it out in itunes..but yesterday I checked it's no longer free

To get latest free/discounted apps, most of us use AppSniper (paid) or AppConnect (free), lately I discovered an app called BargainBin (free), very useful, you can directly tap on the "Screenshot" to view the picture before you want to decide to download from Apple Store. smile.gif
*
I'm using Pandora Box for the same thing. It doesn't have the automatic buy like appsniper or recommendation like appconnect. but like bargainbin,it can show the pictures and best thing is comes with push notification to alert you for any sale on your favourite apps. And it's free.

Get Dragon Dictation Free NOW for limited time! US iTunes only.

What's Dragon dictation? A speech-to-text application. basically you can write message (or should i say "say message"?) then the application will transcribe it into message.

QUOTE
Nuance Communications today announced the release of Dragon Dictation [App Store, Free for a limited time], a new voice transcription application for the iPhone. The application, which relies on the Dragon NaturallySpeaking speech recognition engine to transcribe voice input to text, allows users to easily send transcribed text to new e-mail or text messages or save it to the clipboard for pasting into other applications.
With the Dragon Dictation App, spoken words are instantly transcribed using the world-renowned power of Dragon NaturallySpeaking speech recognition, giving anyone the power to simply "say anything" up to five times faster than typing. Dragon Dictation allows users to speak anything from a one-line text message or status update for Facebook, to a multi-paragraph e-mail. For instance, simply say, "We should meet at the restaurant at 7 and then go to the movies. I'll pick up Scott in Cupertino after he gets off work. See you then." Users can start and stop as needed or just speak free form to capture a quick brainstorm idea or reminder. It's completely up to you.

The application works by transmitting spoken input to Nuance's central servers, where it is processed by the transcription algorithms and returned to the user's device. Consequently, the application does requires a data connection in order to function.

The application offers editing options including alternative suggestions for misinterpreted phrases and built-in keyboard functionality for manual editing of text. The application also offers voice corrections, allowing users to highlight a selected portion of text and replace it with newly-spoken phrases.

Downloaded but personally haven't try it yet.

@mmmbop,
It's not too bad; downloaded it last night when I was at the hospital and sorta gave it a try earlier - it was almost accurate smile.gif
*
Have tried it just now..Perhaps my pronunciation is not good enough? laugh.gif..Accuracy perhaps around 60% in my case..the longer the sentences the lesser the accuracy.

But it doesn't help to automatically send the message. I prefer that once my speech has been recorded, the app ask for the recipient's name, name confirmation and then send the message by itself. In other word, you just simply touch the apps and it will do the rest..That will be very helpful while driving.

But it has just been released, v1.0..should wait for improvement later.

It works to some extent. The longer your sentence is the worse the detection will be. It's not fool proof mind you. In the end you do need to modify the word a little bit

You're welcome smile.gif useful app to pull documents from cloud storage, a good documents viewer app too!
You're welcome. The app is still FREE, not to confused with Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite and Quickoffice Office Mobile wink.gif

Quickoffice Office Mobile - can edit documents, but can't pull data from cloud storage

Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite - can pull data from cloud storage, also can edit docs

Quickoffice Connect (which is FREE right now) - Can pull data from cloud storage, access view share wink.gif

Thanks for clarifying. Indeed I'm confused with the other Connect.

Got one of the color application quite cool.. still dunno what name of that app..
*
Check the youtube for official iphone ad. plenty of them. I recognize the cool application all from the youtube.

Already got measure it, but accuracy is a problem due to the fact that you need to choose appropriate measuring object which is relative in size to your object in question.

The color apps is called Colorchange. But at a price of 2.99

I think I'd still stick to Safari. Apple wouldn't have approved something if they thought it was gonna be better than their built-in browser. wink.gif

You haven't try it. How do you know safari is better?

Speed wise. opera wins. user-friendliness, will be judged later

I've meddled with the setting part.

Go to Tools (Spanner icon)>Settings>Advanced>Protocol>HTTP

The default item under protocol is socket.

Not sure about others but somehow, changing this to HTTP improves web loading, at least in my case.

Update: I've tried Malaysia Flight and even though it doesn't do any booking and instead route you to respective airlines website, the flight schedule database is quite impressive.

The flight schedule can be sorted by 3 means, price/airlines/time. Pretty convenient.

A comparison between this app and MHMobile (the official MAS app) shows that some fairly lower price flight are not shown in the official app hmm.gif

It seems somehow that MHMobile shows you only the more pricier one whistling.gif
