Superman Returns (2006) Remastered

Perplexing

I find myself perplexed. I like this movie alot and supposedly, alot of people do not.

Firstly, many people had stated that the movie video transfer is NOT up to par, but it is. I've watched this in the cinema and this BD surpasses that. There are some scenes where Superman looks "fake" but that is because in those scenes he is CGIed (or I perceives him as CGIed, it look like that in the cinema) !!

I think that Bryan Singer actually put a lot of effort into making this movie unique and I'm doubly perplex why lover of comics hate this movie as well, seeing how much homage is paid to the media (eg when Superman gently put down Kitty's car, that is the cover to the first Action Comic Superman appeared in). He also anchored the movie as much as he could into the real world (when Superman first attempted to save the plane Lois was on, he tried to grab on the fuselage of the plane but it broke off because it could not take the stress)

I like this movie and am bump that Bryan Singer would not get to direct Brandon Routh in another Superman movie *Sigh*

Putting storyline & visual effects aside; I guess at this day & age, people (and fans) have finally coming to terms to accept yet embrace their favorite superhero in a bright red spandex over a blue long-johns as oppose to... the ultra-cool n' sleek noir black suit of his DC-mate the Dark Knight. tongue.gif

I sent a "love letter" to Playasia and asking for the location of my orders, their said their need 3 weeks to investigate with HK's post office. doh.gif Anyway, still faster than Amazon US which take 1 month to investigate. laugh.gif

By the way, today US exchange rate very nice o. Now at RM3.4600 to US$1.00. No one want to take this weak USD advantage to order more BDs? brows.gif About 1 week ago, the exchange rate is around RM3.5++ to US$1.00. whistling.gif

Haiz.....I can't even lodge a complaint yet as my order was only shipped out on 10 Sept via Int'l "snail mail" which is estimated to arrive on 23 October.

The really funny thing is, another order of mine was shipped out at exactly the same time and I've already received it

You know how to calculate one or not? doh.gif

One BD average USD20, you buy 100 copies you save RM80.

Unless your BD costs USD1 per unit then you save RM4 shakehead.gif

I already filed complaint for my 2nd Sept order and Amazon UK asked me to wait until 12th Oct. So basically need to wait 40 days before next action rolleyes.gif

This 12th Oct I will file another complaint for my 12th Sept order if it's not here. Even F&F Steelbox suppose to be here on 1st Oct also nowhere to be seen. What the heck's going on with our system. I strongly believed Amazon is not at fault.

No a single BD arrive. vmad.gif

I only can lodge complaint to Amazon US after 7 Oct for my earliest order (Gladiator and Braveheart cry.gif ). If no order arrive this month, I will lodged 7 complaints in total for Amzon US if not mistaken. whistling.gif

Sorry to hear you guys about the delayed deliveries.

Just to share with you guys that my order that was shipped on September 22 (dats after Raya) arrived today October 5 at home, via standard shipping... I think the issue here is those parcels got clogged (traffic jam) at Ketam and/or Pos because of the Raya season; of coz excluding the reason if your goods kena held back because of tax or other issues.

So the moral of the story: try (if can la...) not to order BEFORE any major festive season or if do, choose a more expensive mode nod.gif

Your delivery seems to be within the time frame like most of my previous orders. Somehow, this latest one seems to have become lost in space and the main irony of it is, 2 orders, 2 shipments, both on the same date, 1 arrived, 1 did not rclxub.gif

Possible scenarios:

1. Still stuck at Ketam/POS sweat.gif
2. Posman kebas shocking.gif
3. My neighbour kebas blink.gif
4. My dog buried it shakehead.gif
