ketam just bought a HDTV with blu ray player in their R&R room so please wait for a few day before they carefully inspect the shipment laugh.gif

Hey people, noob questions here haha.

I'll be getting a laptop later this year and i'll have the chance to upgrade the SlotLoad8x DVD+/-RW drive with DVD+R double layer write capability to a Slot Load Fixed Blu-Ray BD-ROM/ DVD+/-RW Combo Drive for an extra rm500. Do you think it's worth it??

My concerns are whether a blu-ray drive can run normal dvds and also whether blu-rays will become common in the next few years so that getting a blu-ray drive now will be worthwhile. Also, will the blu-ray drive be able to burn Blu-ray discs and normal DVDs too? I don't really get the difference...

What do you guys think? hmm.gif

Did your both orders total more than RM500? If not then it's ok then... but if it did, you're lucky maaan... in May, I experienced the same scenario: 2 orders (ordered 4 days apart), 2 shipments but both shipped on the same day and arrived together-gether and I get a love note from Ketam because combined total RM700+ doh.gif

Anyway, for my parcel received today...here's the detail:

Shipped from Amazon US: 22 September 2009
Dilepaskan Ketam: 30 September 2009 (not bad 8 days!!)
Received from Postman: 5 October 2009!! WTF... 5 days??!

One of the reasons I love Freddy vs Jason is simply because I just love nocturnal/night/low-lit exterior scenes in high definition.... so horror/slasher flick is a good example tongue.gif biggrin.gif
