The song in your blog. It's damn sad. In some countries, songs like that are illegal.

Congrats on the popping Andrew. How much each?

i kept mine h.h as followed ...

2i-3i : coco fibre with slight mist every week at side of container, fed with crickets legs.
3i -4i : 50 /50 coco - fibre and fine play sand, slight mist at side of container every week once,, feed with crickets leg , meal worms
4i - 5i : 50 /50 coco - fibre and fine play sand, slight mist at side of container every week once , feed with small crickets and roaches
5i - 6i : 30 / 70 coco - fibre and fine paly sand , sand on the higher end side... slight mist at side of container every week once ,, feed with crickets ..
6i : 10/90 coco-fibre and fine play sand, sand on the higher end side , slight mist at side of container every week once , feed with crickets..

away from direct sun light and in a well ventilated area ...
daily rountine cleaning and check for un eaten food ... wasted / uneaten food is a must to clear away ..........

some barks for them to hide and last a aslight mist when i suspect them molting ...

with regards to the bedding .. i did a few experiment and did post my reviews in the past post ... do check them out smile.gif
try not to power feed them, i realize it shorten their life span and have molting problems.........

do not disturb if u see them in the process of molting ... i also realize that a slight disturance sort of halt the process of molting imo.
look from the side of the container first to check the status before proceeding to do anything in order to min disturance to the best ..

well that is how i been keeping them and hope it helps.......... i do lost many h.h scorplings before. so far the menthod above work well for me til now so far lol ...

happy h.h keeping smile.gif

My condolences ryo, I'm just curious...did you mist at all?

From what I'm experiencing at the moment, Hots are kinda moisture-friendly, I have a wet moss/spray at one corner everyday in the enclosure. Though, it does dry off the next day and hard work is to be put. The thing that I see is that my Hot tends to chill at the wet corner all the time. Just my input to see if anyone experienced the same here. smile.gif

It's damn weird man because theoretically there shouldn't be any issues concerning too wet for hots. Have you seen how Alex keeps his Hot? It's even more epic wet lol and the hot lived

I just feed my scorps once in every 7-10 days. I am lazy. I don't even check on them in between that time (ask Kar for konfirmation). What is your feeding regiment like?

i tot that hot hot has 2 diff type of atmosphere where they live.. One for the desert type and the other is the lighter/wet area. To know where your hot hot come from is one factor to understand wut type of climate they live on. Mayb thats one reason to its deaths?

Nice input ride. That probably explains the reason why Alex's ultra hot is not dead till now. He misted it like how you'd mist on a freaking AFS lol.

And yes, I can confirm. Rafiq is the epic irresponsible papa that refuses to check on his babies everyday. His daily motto : "muh babies are like mahoneys, I put them out in the street, they live there and they help me make muh moneh"

I seriously think a safe conclusion is that different hots come from different regions or so? But how do we differentiate? hmm.gif

to differentiate is a prob as to me it looks the same where ever they are... One thing is to ask the seller before hand to which region it is taken/breed before we proceed with the purchase. But having said that, we must oso ask the seller how he kept them. some of us just buy it and research later.. so now we have some info already on the type of region this fellow live and oso some info on other hobbyist to how they kept them alive e.g Lester. it still make me go bongkers with this particular species...

Thanks for the input put well. Soon you will see the light of day too. Soon. These ladies are born to pop. Lol. How about you experimenting misting on one of your hottentottas just to satisfy the curiousity. If it dies, I'll replace it with another one from my next brood. If it survives you'll get two more as compensation for the effort. Lol.

I guess you guys wouldn't have missed this, but I'm putting this link up anyway - Linko.

Fliptop is a guy who's managed to breed many Hottentottas in the past. I trust he's got enough behind him to come confidently with the simple recommendations he's posted on VL. And to add, Philippines shares weather and temps closer to us compared to the Yankees.

Note: Flower Gibson is not a weird guy. He's just got a wild imagination and perky nipples.

Added on October 27, 2009, 3:58 pmI just read what I wrote. Not trying to put you down Kar. Just trying to encourage the efforts made.
