some bads news ......
total 6 nos were born ..so far 2 nos were dead .eaten by the mum.. now left 4 nos ontheir mum back... going to seperate them into individual container once they down down ... i wonder if this sp is able to store sperm in their like my Isometrus Maculatus scorpion. we should see lol ... 27/9 - total of 6 nos enter the world of ours 4 were on the back of it mum. 2 nos on the sand.. a little brood considered. i wonder why .. normally is woul dbe about 10 to 12 nos.. 28/9 - the 2nos on the sand did not make it. consumed by it mum. may they rest in peace ... wonder how long will the little one molt to 2nd instar. hope no more death from now onwards.. feed a cricket leg to mum and she ate it ... her size is still the same as comapred to last .. more birth ??? or i am thinking too much. 28/9 - this brood was considered quite speical to me. consider it rare and hard to get. decided to name them "lucifer" , "jesus" , "satan" and "saint" 28/9 - current size of each scorpion were abt 5mm each length wise., able the same size as my Isometrus Maculatus recent brood scorpling size . small indeed and color was creamy white . expact to see them touch down in a week time. QUOTE(HyourinMaru @ Sep 28 2009, 10:25 PM) when sort of.. depend how much the scorpling can consume....btw it is not advisable.. many disagree to this method... personally i try it out based on experiment mode. powerfeeding reduce the scorpion life span greatly... raq did mention once abt internal explosion or bleeding on this issue when power fed. therefore do think twice before attempting....... personally i have some experiment with afs . do read up older threads and might find some finding of mine based of feeding from amount to size of container etc which affect feeding of this sp |

( shit were all round the side of the container) 3) upszing the container for scop which have statred to out grown their existing one. 4) checking for mites and other adnormals. 5) feeding.. them ... damn.. the emilia is a rubbish bin lol ... 6)clearing away all unwanted stuff and waste material.. hmmm........... i wonder if any of u guys spend so much time or u guys take even longer ???? |

QUOTE(rafiqos @ Oct 5 2009, 09:19 AM) More pictures from the uncle's den. hmm not keeping it anymore???? ![]() Texas Striped Barkscorpion (Centruroides vittatus) Housed in a communal tank of 3 individuals. I've observed them working in a pack to neutralize, lynch and dismember adult dubias and even housegeckos. This is by far the most effective communal hunters I've kept. Lol! Expecting more babies in the not-so-distant future. ![]() Arizona Barkscorpion (Centruroides sculpturatus) Housed in a communal tank of 4 individual. This species is noted as the most potent scorpion species in the North Americas. Envenomation characteristic/symptom typical to this particular species is what I call 'eyeball 360', where the eyes of the unlucky victim begins rolling to the back uncontrollably. Centruroides sculpturatus was renamed Centruroides excilicauda sometime ago. I am now looking to offload most of my barkscorpions. It's the only sensible thing to do next. btw ..... i will be off loading my barkz scorpions too ... will in fully into and focus on desert scorpion only .. lol... it been a while since i have this idea and i have fully stop on forest scorpion now.. ... i think it will be abt time to carry forward the idea on the barkz ............. lol ................ going to reduce my numbers .. lol... |
