QUOTE(RyoKenzaki @ Dec 24 2009, 12:58 AM) Maybe its the angle prob kot hmm... Anw my last C.Marg molted to 7instar finally, but i still cant sex them Its either both female or both have one more molt to go before sexual dimorphism occur » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Who else aside from Andy got C.Margaritatus now? The pics make your C.marg look female. But they're not mature yet. Bang on one or two more moults before attempting breeding, Ryo.

From what i read they are sexually matured at 7instar but i'm skeptical too Will wait longer and see how it goes, hopefully they have one more molt to go

Buthidae are known to be sexually matured even before their final molt from what i read But then again, sexual dirmophism only occur after their final molt so now i cant sex them Im thinking that C.marg final molt is when they reach 8instar but they are sexually matured at 7instar because most of the post i read in ab and vl suggested they matured at 7instar but there is a thread where a C.marg reach 8instar in VL

hmmm.. then it would b a challenge for you to actually sex it accordingly. What left to do now is wait till they reach 8i. Unless you have a confirm male in your hand and try out if they would 'dance'... If only my one still alive i could try on urs.. but seems have to ask Andy or other keepers if can try out the little experiment..

Sorry my mistake, it looks like buthidae doesnt have a fix number of molt before they reach maturity Some can matured in 6instar while some specimen of the same species can matured on later instar So i guess it's best we wait later

A 6th instar heiress would look more robust than the ones seen in the pic. Your scorpion looks more like a 5th instar Ryo.
Bugs are often lumped into batches of instars ranging from X to Z. Even though they come from the same brood, some moult faster than the others. Confusion in instars are quite common especially during the first few moults when size difference before and after moults are pretty much negligible in underfed youngs. I've also been sold scorpions like that - underfed, undersized, undercount and even deformed scorpions - by a certain Philippino. I'm not saying that your seller did it deliberately though. He's a genuine and good guy.
My 2 kupang 5 duit.

Well im not sure if i counted the instar wrongly or not but i received them as mixture of 2 and 3instar back then The 2 that i took are the biggest among the group so i consider them as 3instar and counted and record every molt and am pretty sure they are 7instar now if im correct bout their instar when i choose them in the beginning Both molted 4times under my care, perhaps they are just 2instar when i pick them up or else i have no idea why they are so small now
