anyone with RXV 377 here, I tried setting up the FM antenna but it doesn't work, I plugged in behind and wave that wire around and it is not picking up anything, total silent, help?

dear all, is yamaha speaker good? thinking of getting by set. is spk555 worth the premium over spk160? or the spk 160 already decent and can last long. tq.

the manual written of the receiver output wattage is 630W.
and i saw watts for the each channel is :
7-channel powerful surround sound
105 W per channel (8 ohms, 1 kHz, 0.9% THD, 2 ch driven)
90 W per channel (8 ohms, 20 Hz-20 kHz, 0.09% THD, 2 ch driven)
so do i need to add the channel watt with the output wattage or just the output wattage alone?
and i go thru some post mentioned at least 1.3 times of the total watt needed for the transformer to be safe play.
get abit confuse and hope anyone here can give some opinions 

erm..got only written 120V,60Hz, 400W, 500VA behind, cant find any ampere written. i thk i will go for 1.5kw if the price dint much different with 1kw 
any recommend on brands or place to buy the transformer? the teletron brand in pasar road is so much exp thn TNK in ACE hardware.  how come a? is teletron brand better? or both just work as same? i just afraid it will burn my avr down

You don't understand. It can bitstream, but whether it's decoding the DTS-MA and downmixing the extra 2 channels is the question.

Even if you let the BD player decode to 7.1 LPCM, the extra 2 channels doesn't sound like it's downmixed in the Yamaha 475. More like the extra channels are just discarded.

That's just my personal observation on my system, although all the experts will say that it's not the case 

Bro, your source is original Blu-Ray or ripped movies? I can't really say for sure, as i don't have a lot of DTS-MA source...only have 1 DD TrueHD, which is very good compared to normal DTS. Most of my source DTS only...

I have changed my speaker impendance to 6 Ohms. No option for 4 ohms. These speaker impedance are only for right and left front speakers right?

I had the A2030 AVR, today I tried to power it on the power light just blink and nothing happen. Tried to unplug the power cord and reconnect also same problem. Also tried to remove every connection except the power cord but still same problem. Any one had any idea?

What is average life span of avr n why our set is only one year warranty compare to other country 2years

For those who owns A2040, do you feel a mild electronic shock whenever you touch any metal parts when the AVR is on?
