Yeah, coz your source (BD player) will determine what type of signal to transfer to your amp for decoding.Yamaha AVR Thread v2.00, Discussions about Yamaha AVR

QUOTE(galantorian7116 @ Dec 20 2010, 11:24 AM) Hey guys, one more question. by right, it should display DTS-HD, what movie are you playing? issit ori?or Pirates?I am getting "DD TrueHD" displayed at V467 panel whenever i select this audio format from my Blu Ray movie. But when i select DTS HD audio from the movie, all i get from my V467 display is "DTS" only. Is the receiver decoding DTS or DTS HD ? |

QUOTE(galantorian7116 @ Dec 20 2010, 11:52 AM) hahahawhat you mean by BD25? 25 gig, how much you bought it? If it's around RM30 to RM35, it's not ori, for movies that has DTS format, you have to check online , whether does that movie has DTS format, some movie only have Dolby TrueHD, but not DTS HD |

QUOTE(ronaldkwok @ Dec 27 2010, 08:50 AM) True, true; a RCA cable is still a RCA cable, whatever the colour. Now I am old (and also broke) so I am also using the yellow RCA cable (supposedly for video) to connect my subwoofer. The colours are there so that you make the right connections by just matching the colours from outputs to inputs. To me, even they are diff colors, they are still One Dog Color (Yat Kau Sik) |

QUOTE(overfloe @ Dec 29 2010, 09:28 AM) hi folks, Yeah, it's a repeater, so it does carry both signals via HDMIjust wondering, does the dx-v467 supports hdmi video and audio passthrough simultaneously? coz i wanted to connect: BDP -> HDMI (audio/video) -> Receiver -> HDMI (video) -> TV can or not? this way i dont need to use seperate cable for audio. thanks. |

Yamaha's Cinema DSP is Digital SoundField Processing, you can play around with the programs to give you diff effect like, Hall, Spectacle, etc, if the Cinema DSP don't appear, meaning you are running at Straight mode, means no extra effect added, sound signal truely from the Blu-Ray player
