most mkv have embedded english sub....but entertainment is for my wholde family and my wife wants chinese sub. I normally turn it off but should i need it, it should be there.

Anyway, I found out how to enable it thru "Titles". What puzzles me is why the subtitles selection is not incorporate in the "Subtitles" button but rather on the Title button.

Hi all, can the HDMI output surround audio format or it has been downmix to 2 channels? In the spec it is mentioned the audio is downmixed to 2 channels, im wondering if it applies to the HDMI output as well.

For my 6500, I am getting DTS HD MA, Dolby True HD, DD, DTS (depending on source) w/o problem via HDMI

anybody experiencing chinese subtitle (.srt) display problem on Dvico 6600 for the latest firmware (1.9.8)?

for me english and others language are working fine but chinese simplified sub is display occasionally.

when i switch back to v1.9.4 all working fine.

any sifu can explain?

Just wondering how other owners are storing their media...

I currently have 7TB of data spread over six individual hard drives...

While the dvico's feature to swap drives easily via that nifty bracket is cool... it can get tiring when dealing with six drives...

Anyone is using some of those multi-bay docks that take 4,5,6+ drives at once? i think Icy Dock has something like that...

Would be nice to have my hard drives all stacked up and connected via a single wire to the Dvico...

Got to agree with u.. the latest firmware proves to improve 6600 alot.. anyway i only have 3tb of movies + alot of hi def documentary.. just started my collection of BD's as well.

i bought my DViCO TViX HD N1 a few weeks ago. Awesome player
but i noticed somethings. I havent updated any FW yet. but this is what i noticed so far:

1. Remote controller sometimes slow in responding.
2. when viewing big files 7GB or 9GB MKV format movies, FF seems slow and show no display what speed its moving.
3. I noticed it doesnt play some WMV files. why??????? i tot all format can??

anyone got any good website for me to try and convert the wmv file to avi format??
please help!!

i think it only plays wmv 9 nia, the previous 7 n 8 kenot

I would like to let everyone know about my new findings regarding Tvix Dvico 6600A latest firmware v1.9.8.

This player is able to play movie with chinese Simplified (GB2312) subtitles for firmware v1.9.4_B4. Any firmware above version 1.9.4, chinese simplified sub won't show up if you have this kind of "weird" word in that particular phrase in your sub. Please refer to below picture for more details.



This player is able to play movie with chinese traditional (BIG5) subtitles flawlessly.

So I would like to know if anyone here facing this kind of problem too or maybe many of forumers here didn't watch movie with chinese sub. so the best solution for current problem would be a software that could translate/convert simplified sub to traditional sub in srt format?

i have the exact problem on my MPC-HC on windows though

Windows still show up but you won't face this kind of problem in Dvico 6600 HD media player on v1.9.4 firmware.

Once you upgrade your firmware above 1.9.4 lets say v1.9.8 then that particular phrase won't show up unless you switch to chinese traditional sub then it will displayed again.
