QUOTE(Krovaxq @ Oct 16 2009, 11:41 AM) really? what had he done at city this time? is he a party boy, show up late for practice and something that is far beyond my imagination? publicly declare that he wants to leave City and play with Barcelona. Real Madrid's arch rivals. Maybe he had this planned all along knowing that Madrid would not sell him to Barcelona. LOL. jk.

Update on the embargo » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Blues to lodge appeal
Chelsea are set to officially lodge their intention to appeal against FIFA's transfer ban with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
The Premier League club have been banned from signing any new players for the next two transfer windows after FIFA found them guilty of inducing teenager Gael Kakuta to breach his contract with Lens two years ago.
But the Blues are hopeful they can get the punishment reduced or overturned by appealing through the Lausanne-based court.
Chelsea are expected to request a 'fast-track' hearing when they lodge their full appeal with CAS. The Court confirmed to Press Association Sport today that the Barclays Premier League club has yet to appeal.
However, CAS insist that while Chelsea can ask for the hearing to be expedited, the other party in the case has to agree to fast-track it. Once the club has notified CAS of its intention to appeal, which must be done tomorrow, they have a further 10 days to lodge the papers with them.
A one-window ban is unlikely to hurt Chelsea too much as they have carried out little business in January during previous seasons, though the club have been keen to take insurance measures by tying down their players to new long-term contracts, including Salomon Kalou and Brazilian defender Alex.

I hope that we can overturn it..the january transfer look like not so important but there are two major players that unsettle enough to move this january and both are our target...
Franck Ribery and Sergio Kun Aguero...+ youngsters....

but i dont see the reason why would we want to purchase players we dont need. it will create havoc in the dressing room. both kun and ribery hasnt played in the premier league before, its a risk. besides, they are not gonna come cheap and i dont see them as potential targets that would want to come to stamford bridge.

better stay with our current player. dont take the risk. develop our youngster and extend our key players contract. that is what we should do.

see...cuz..we dont really have any problem if we buy Ribery..Zhirkov will be more like a Ashley Cole backup...(same story as Bridge)....Ribey will be fight for 1st 11 with Malouda....
Aguero will be a reinforcement when the ANC....
I see both of them as a special target...if we can overturn the ban...

another midfielder to add to our superstar midfield list? hmmm. i can see some players might want to leave. our youngsters might not get their shot too.
besides, we're playing a tight through the middle diamond midfield. does ribery fit our current style of play? i can already see malouda struggling to keep his place in the first eleven with the likes of bally and deco very comfortable with the diamond play.

and i dont think these big name players would want to come to a club like Chelsea cos everyone seems to think the greener pastures are at Barca, Real Madrid and Man Utd.

But we always get "black" (Not Racist) player that only want to come to our club instead of RM, Barca or RM.

but regardless, i think most of our players are very loyal to our club. in the end, they still thank the club and fans before they leave. eg. sheva. well, some do still make noise if they dont get their first team place but in the end they still stay eg. riccy. UP THE BLUES TONIGHT!

Not really, actually some players rejected manutd to join chelsea. Example, Arjen robben, joe cole, mikel obi. Having ribery would be great, but i think chelsea already have a complete squad at the moment... But i think ribery prefers Real madrid...due to the playstyle and salary there(lower tax too)?
