Yes, even those non-action movies has improvements from the lossy DVD. More as I remember.

One that is pretty clear is Ratatouille. The PCM vs the Dolby Digital is pretty different.

Casino Royale is another. The DVD lossy sound is pretty good but noisy. The lossless has better control as such the details are better.

Those 2 are very obvious. You won't regret it.

The one that really made my jaw dropped was Blade Runner, but that was in the early days of my adoption to BD. It sounds so sweet, especially the score by Vangelis. Very lively and spine tingling.
