is it you feel no power when u try to press the pedal more but the car wont really move @ 2000rpm???.....if yes..then its normal...its the campro torque dip.... Thanks for your reply. What i mean is when changing gear, the car will shock a while, so you can feel that the car is changing gear (suppose every up gear or down gear is very smooth, we cant feel it rite?). Even when you change from N to D or R, you will feel that the gear is engaged. I dont have this feeling on my previous car, will it have some problem with my persona?
you mean when the gear is change u cannot feel any shock/move that the gear is changing is it???.....meaning the gear change without any feeling??? |

QUOTE(GibsonBFG @ Nov 8 2009, 02:38 PM) thx bro for the clarification, mine Bline Auto, the reason i chose persona over saga blm is cuz of the NVH,car size, handling and stability etc as mainly i'm travelling highway daily to office. haha....enjoy your ride....=)...but persona to me is a good car..la...provided some common problems....but ride quality, nvh, everything is much improved over the gen2,waja,wira...and to my surprise the NVH is not bad at all and im comparing to my mom's previous generation city vtec....and being having a waja 4g18 in my hse able to compare how far proton has improve.....well i think, it is reasonably well....engine on the waja is like a truck-tor where is damn noisy and isnt quiet at all where persona is smooth and relax car,not to mention im the 1st batch user where after 40k mileage (2years) of usage, the car serve me well with just tear and wear parts and some minor minor problems/problems that is common unable to be solve.....but no big deal...Test driven BLM before, its good car however if compare to persona with just few K diff, really think should go for this for the extra COMFORT due to the car size, engine etc... really cant wait... hehe... cheers... btw if u wana improve the NVH further,u can get it soundproof...=) |

QUOTE(hammercar @ Nov 8 2009, 10:30 PM) drive auto means step on it lah...rev it. it will hold on to it until 4K, then change gear one. don't play with the gear leveler...let the gearbox do it's job. just rev it to bring ur car to cruising speed ASAP...then cruise...guaranty will be better than "drive normal" one... haha...i c....so how much u install the ATF cooler wor???....planning to use the car quite sometimes so wana protect it also.... i rev till 6K if anyone from penang...or up north...come out for TT lah...limpe show u all... Added on November 8, 2009, 11:17 pm QUOTE(rckh @ Nov 8 2009, 11:04 PM) My M-Line (A) Handbrake lever curves towards the driver seat. Not straight like most cars. Most noticeable when released/lowered. The front brake pads seems to wear off pretty fast & dirtying the rims. Black powder on rims quite difficult to scrub off. Are these normal conditions. yup...normal...dun like dirty rims...change aftermarket brake pads.....This post has been edited by loong2020: Nov 8 2009, 11:17 PM |

QUOTE(Xefron @ Nov 10 2009, 08:29 PM) wahahaha my new persona get her first few scratch on the front bumper.Nice.Not noticeable from far but still haha...yeah...being careful too much also problem.....now my car got few scracthes and also the front bonnet got chipped off by small stones frm the highway..... Added on November 10, 2009, 9:10 pm QUOTE(alt3ch @ Nov 7 2009, 11:20 PM) Bro Loong, thanks you very much for testing for me. My persona feel is a bit only, but last time totally cant feel it. My old ride is year 96, civic. hey alt3ch...i tested my car...i dont really feel any jerking when the gear is change...la....but sometimes when the car accelerate and i slow down, indeed it does jerk abit but not much.....coz the gear is kicking down to lower gear but if shift up gear by gear, the shifting is consider "smooth".....but of course compare with altis and city i tested also frm my parents car.....the smoothness is much better than persona......and tested the waja 4g18 as well and the gear changing is totally not smooth at all and loud engine, jerking, and the auto gearbox hunting for next gear(lag)....so i dont think its a problem on what you having now....unless you get it tested on two same persona which is IAFM units to double confirm.....as for me, my persona is non IAFM....so there is slight tuning on how the engine perform.... QUOTE(alt3ch @ Nov 10 2009, 10:02 PM) thanks dude, i already ask the SC yesterday as send my car there for warranty claim for the lousy player...i also did try a BLM yesterday, the jerk was so much worse then mine. Happen to be a senior mechanic there, he told me my last civic is CVT gear box, so the gear changing is super smooth, we will never notice when the gear is changing, but persona gear is just a normal gear box. As long as not my unit got problem, then i should relief... haha...no problem....yeah....the smoothness not as good as honda/toyota....but its also relate to the engine also....if you say normal gearbox...then why altis dosent have any jerking when shifting, its much much smoother and engine is well refined....
