yeah! usually,i take event where got time to 'touch' ( or rub tongue.gif ) the flash head, so lucky got warning sign ( FOR SB-900 ONLYY WHEEEHAAA rclxms.gif )
so when it is overheat,its time to change 'weapon' ,go sb-600! HAHAHA tongue.gif

wah, u got sb600 for backup somemore
i recently borrowed my fren 55-200,
bcoz of the range, my sb900 nid to give higher output flash, so 1st time experienced overheat sweat.gif

what makes a flash overheat? what happens when it overheat? what do we do when it overheat? turn it off? and how long do we need to wait? man... i'm really new in external flash

nissin di866, what is the faulty thing that needs to upgrade using software or things like that. what happen?

Added on October 20, 2009, 3:59 amabout filter, why do we need uv filter? some site was saying that it protects the lens. do we need to buy a filter for each and every lens that we have?

basically when you fire a lot, the batteries get overheat. when the batteries overheat, its best to cool it down. depends on the quality, some batteries can even explode if it overheats. when your set of batteries overheat, its best if you take it off until it cools down.

can't help with ur nissin problem

uv filters are use for protecting your lens. also used to prevent uv rays from entering your sensor, hence disrupting your picture. depends on you. if you think your lens is not worthy of having a filter, then maybe a cheap filter would do. if you have an expensive lens, say a good prime, you're better off with a uv filter, the cheap or pro one.

please correct me if i'm wrong smile.gif

well, dun care whether it's a waste of money or what, it's worth buying to protect the lens. we wont know what's gonna happen. "better prevent then cure" right?

haha sorry.
fast aperture so big aperture, f/2.8 or bigger.
VR or something similar to prevent camera shake. in low light, shutter speed will be slower so camera shake would be easier, thus something like VR really helps.

VC = Vibration Compensation
OS = Optical Stabilizer

not necessary.
some people have messed up their VR just cause they turn it on but they don't use it.

AFAIK, you should turn on VR if you have shaking hands (probably due to too much fapping laugh.gif ) and can't capture anything if it's turned off.
