Locked characters for fighting games depends on the tournament rules themselfs... FOR NOW, you are allowed to use every characters in SF4.

You can bring any sticks as long as it compatible with the PS3

lol, for Soul Calibur 4, i really hope they unlock all characters and no character banning

unlike last time during the PS3 launch (got SCIV marathon), they actually change the rules and suddenly they say the character Nightmare kena banned    waffak man

DEAR ALL,

First of all I would like to thank you for your ideas and comments...however, I hope you guys can hear me out. The tournament is meant for everyone in Malaysia and there is too many people we need to consider. Sponsors always prefered to have a larger market audience and contestant and thats why there will be games for those who are not as hardcore as you guys.

Puzzle Fighter is a porpular puzzle game where STREET FIGHTERS characters are cute and they play in dropping colorful blocks to kill off your opponent. Very challenging and well known game in the puzzle industry. While Brain challenge is meant for those who prefer to use their mind instead of button smashing.

Bomberman YES it was chosen because it was meant for RETRO and dont forget about girls. Its easy to pic up and uses fast thinking to play too. Video Game tournament is not always playing hardcore games...we have to consider the fun factor too. Lets give those who wanted to play and dont have the talent and skills like you guys a chace to feel the whats tournament is all about ok?

Beside, it will be much easier for hardcore gamers to defeat them in finals right?

And another reason for us to choose these games is to look for the overall best gamer (where he plays everything anyone would challenge him)

Well, we also would love to hear from you guys - If you were to play a tournament game, please suggest to me...

It's not that the lesser known games don't deserve a chance, but a tournament should have a variety of genres.

KOF 12 and Brain Challenge should be scrapped for a racing game and a shooter.

Well, you dont have to take part in those games which you think its not good enough for you right? Let me know what game you prefer then?

Have you tried GRID?  Quite a number of ppl is playing the game and there's several tournaments for GRID on PS3 previously with no issues at all.

Here is the details for the SONY Tournament:

1) Tournament is open to all Malaysians and its FREE. Just register yourself http://corp.sony.com.my/3/ .

2) We are looking for 10 FINALIST for the prizes. In order to be one of the finalist, contestant must be the CHAMP of any tournament Sony held through out the weeks of October 2009.

3) YOU only need to be a champion for 1 game to qualify for finals.

4) Champion of each game still allowed to take part in other weekly tournaments. However, if you win again ...your seat will be given to the runner up.

5) Those who didnt win the seat, you may also do so by taking part in other tournaments.

6) Tournament time and schedule may change. SO please stay tuned here for details.

7) Different games runs in different rules and regulations. Please take note.

8) NO SWEARING is allowed during the tournament.

9) Also, contestant is required to be part of PLAYSTATION FRIENDS in order to take part.
