well, id like to hear opinions. after all, they are a matter of opinions and i can judge them myself.

for example, when 1 guy recommends item A, he could say its cheap and the best for its price range. maybe second guy disagrees, and say item B would sound better for less the cost. maybe 3rd guy would say while item A is good, item C may offer better bass (or clarity) and so forth.

hence why i wanna hear out the reasons for choosing a specific model and/or brand.

It is advise to hear other people audio system during TT, hear by yourself and judge by yourself, you also can direct discuss with them.

the reason above all is they suit ur stated budget. and they are no cap ayam, all branded stuffs. but honestly i neva heard any of them b4 except for DLS R6A. i skipped this stage of ICE.

bro..Hertz HKS 165 rm 600 so far i know is fake bro...HKS 165 around rm 1800.00...audison dealer tell me about it

Look for peerless definition 6. should be around 800.

Focal access around 750
Helix Esprit around 880
Eton Pro 170 around 900
Boston S60 around 800
Alpine Type r around 800

few other brands like DLS, Hertz, Morel and rainbow also can get..

these are all well known specialist speaker manufacturers, and their range can go up to RM10k

so guys, i just completed my ICE today totalling ~2.2k+ for just 4 channel amp and subwoofer

gotten myself a Boston GT-40 for amp and Boston G1 12" for the subwoofer

somehow i've ended up with everything boston minus the HU for some reason >_<

Initially i had a Rogers amp for ~600, however it thermal shutdown half way and just couldn't deliver sometimes (speakers popping, noise etc) and the amp itself gets really REALLY hot. that said, i've already picked the Boston G-1 woofer and i really really like it for its tight, accurate yet powerful and heart thumping bass. so instead of downgrading the sub (as it was one of the main cause to overload the amp), i just opt to upgrade the amp and considering there isnt anything attractive between the rm600-1k range, i just opt for the boston GT-40 that is sitting at RM1200. The result was a *very slightly* clarity, none of the problems that i've mentioned happening at all, zero thermal shut down, and in fact, unlike the previous amp, this amp's temperature is... cool lol. cant feel much heat at all o_O

anyways now that my ICE is complete, with the slight exception that i'll probably never do which is sound proofing (can hear rattling/loose car parts' sounds when i play it louder >_<) and rear filling by eliminating the 10+year old stock speakers (need ~400-600 just to please the back pessengers, and almost no benefit to me at all lol), what else that i could possibly miss out? or generally, any comments for the over all setup? total cost spent was ~3.5k and with the result i am definitely satisfied ^^

no la, wat u have is boston's lowest equipments, G1 sub, GT40 and S60, so i guess it's not dat unbalanced. no offense on the lowest equipment. juz saying it's not unbalanced.
