You ask In Sony Alpha thread, you get Sony Alpha Answer... You ask In Canon Thread, you get Canon answer... best thing is, you go to any camera shop, and test out the cameras you're interested in, feel it's weight in your hand, it's feature, and function... then you can decide... don't just go for what other people say....

i am looking to buy a dslr and looking at the A300 vs A330. I read that the A300 although older model is much better than the newer A330....eg. A300 better built quality, better ergonomics and more direct button access as oppose to menu driven. Can someone advise on this?

i can say u r 99% correct.. LOL...
haf u seen A300 n A330 before?

for me... i hate how they layout the function/button...
even though their menu is better now..

A330 quite light n smaller than A300...
as for me A300 has better ergonomic coz my hand quite big la..

A330 not really a true successor of A300..
more like an upgrade of a pns camera...

go try it out both bro... nod.gif

Seng_Kiat: No problem! If you accidentally turn on DRO you can use similiar steps to reduce the DRO effect. wink.gif When you adjust the middle slider in Levels to a darker level, it has a nice side effect of reducing noise.

usually i set DRO to level 1 or 2 max... even for indoor shooting at ISO400... and adjust levels in lightroom...

DRO >3 not advisable at all for indoor shooting...

for me, I tested out the a230... honestly, I fell in love with the weight... holding it in my hands were quite nice... so, for me, the weight and design is ok... but I haven't gone into the functions yet, so, I'm not quite sure if I want to comment on it yet... but weight and hand test wise, I'm ok with it... but somehow, not too sure about it being suitable when I want to mount any 70-200 lens on it...or any big sized lens on it... just afraid I might break the damn thing... tongue.gif

might get it for my wife though... then can share with her the the 18-55 SAM lens... hehehe... somehow fell in love with the lens's IQ... quite nice... can't wait till the SAL2875 comes out... wanna check out the price... if it's cheap enough, will be in my shopping list next year... biggrin.gif
